LOOK NO FURTHER! YOU HAVE JUST COME ACROSS ONE OF THE RAREST. NICEST LOOKING 1981 DODGE RAM W250 CREW CAB SHORT BED 4WD TRUCKS AROUND. THIS BEAUTIFUL TRUCK HAD A THOROUGH. NO EXPENSE SPARED CONVERSION/RESTORATION A FEW YEARS BACK BY A PREVIOUS OWNER. IT WAS EVEN FEATURED IN DIESEL WORLD MAGAZINE. NOW. WHAT MAKES THIS TRUCK SO RARE AND COOL IS THAT DODGE DIDNT MAKE THIS TRUCK FROM THE FACTORY. THEY MADE A CREW CAB SHORT BED TRUCK BUT ALL WERE GAS TRUCKS. THIS BEAUTY STARTED LIFE AS A MILITARY TRUCK. WHICH THE MAJORITY OF THESE TRUCKS DID. THEN A PREVIOUS OWNER TOOK A 1992 DODGE DIESEL DONOR TRUCK AND CONVERTED THE DRIVETRAIN. DASH. ELECTRONICS. ETC. OVER TO THIS TRUCK. EVERYTHING LOOKS FACTORY AND WAS DONE RIGHT. PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING ON THIS TRUCK HAS EITHER BEEN REPLACED WITH NEW OR REBUILT. EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD. INCLUDING ALL GAUGES AND LIGHTS. IT STARTS INSTANTLY. AND RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. THE MOTOR IS SOUND WITH NO KNOWN ISSUES. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS PERFECT AND CLUTCH IS STRONG. THE AC BLOWS COLD AND THE HEAT BLOWS HOT. THE FRONT POWERED LEATHER SEATS AND CONSOLE ARE OUT OF A NEWER DENALI SUV. AND THEY ARE IN IMMACULATE SHAPE. SO IS THE ORIGINAL REAR BENCH SEAT THAT I HAD RE-DYED TO MATCH THE FRONTS. THE WHOLE INTERIOR IS VERY NICE. INCLUDING THE CARPET. WHICH LOOKS LIKE ITS NEVER BEEN STEPPED ON. THERE IS AN AFTERMARKET CD PLAYER AND SOUND SYSTEM THAT SOUNDS GREAT. I CANT STRESS ENOUGH HOW NICE EVERYTHING IS ON THIS TRUCK. THE BODY HAS A SHOW CAR PAINT JOB. WITH VERY MINIMAL IMPERFECTIONS. THE UNDERNEATH AND ENGINE BAY LOOK JUST ABOUT AS GOOD AS THE BODY. FROM EVERY ANGLE IT JUST LOOKS ALMOST FLAWLESS. TO FURTHER ENHANCE THE LOOKS OF THE TRUCK. A SMALL LIFT KIT AND A NICE SET OF AFTERMARKET ALUMINUM WHEELS WERE INSTALLED AND THEY ARE WRAPPED WITH LIKE NEW TIRES ALL THE WAY AROUND. ALSO. A $2000 BUCKSHOT WINCH BUMPER/BRUSH GUARD WAS JUST ADDED. THIS TRUCK JUST ABOUT HAS IT ALL. YOU COULD ENTER IT INTO A LOCAL CAR SHOW. OR DRIVE IT ACROSS COUNTRY PULLING A LOAD. NO DISAPPOINTMENTS.
