An extensive restoration has now been completed. Detailed records come with the car and includes some of the following:
Bodywork.
The wheel arches. front and rear valances and end of sills have all been repaired by cutting out rot and welding in new metal. The front inner wings have been removed and all four inner wheel arches taken back to sound metal and re-undersealed. The rat trap removed and the chassis cleaned by hand. with the removal of all debris and loose underseal. Painted and with new underseal and full waxoyl of the whole car. Took six months!
Paint . Full re-spray with the front and rear screens removed. New screen seals front and rear and with new body clips (100). Roof colour matching interior leather.
Hydraulics.
Extensive work which includes new accumulators. new hoses and the assembly bodies. Brake reservoir rebuilt with new gaskets. new seals and glasses and a complete new set of hydraulic pipes and overhaul of the system just completed . New brake fluid using the correct RR 363.
Chrome.
The bumpers have been removed from the car. stripped. painted and re-assembled. The chrome work is of a high standard.
Service i tems.
New oil and filter change including gearbox. Recent Aux belts. plugs. tyres and battery. A new radiator. air conditioning system and overhaul of the power windows. together with the central locking system.
Dual Fuel/LPG System.
Fitted with a Lpg system (conversion cost £1800) with a Stako tank. The system is certified and has been inspected and serviced. It has European filling adaptor for continental motoring and makes for relatively cheap motoring (0. 72 p per litre giving about 30 miles per gallon on a run. )
This Bentley has had three previous owners and has a warranted mileage of 82 k. The interior is immaculate and has the unique extra of West of England inserts and a custom Top roll and Knee roll. The radio is original and the 8 Track all work. as does the foot operated Fiamm horns. It also comes with a private cherished number valued at £1500.
This car is in excellent condition with a full MOT (no advisories). It has cost me well over £20 k. so represents a truly great buy. It is ready to drive away.
