1971 FORD F100 SHORTBOX 4X4 High Boy with 4 Inch LIFT

Here she is all you Ford fan's!   You have been waiting a long time to find that perfect Tough old F-100 to prance around the city streets and play in the hills with. and now it's here for your consideration.   This ½ ton beauty has so much going for it.   It is so clean you could eat off any panel. carpet or even the undercarriage.   She is a great attention getter and gets thumbs up wherever she goes.   Power. good looks and Ford quality all rolled up in one awesome package.

Let me start with the background I know about this old girl.   She has spent most of her life here in the dry Idaho mountain desert climate (Hence no rust issues).   The previous owner had her for nearly 4 years and had purchased it from his Father-in-law.   Dear old legal Dad was a mechanic and had been toying with the mechanicals for 6 or 7 years previous.   He had rebuilt the motor. clutch assembly. shocks. axles. disc brakes. front end and everything else to get her in great driving condition.   Junior was happy to take it off his hands when the opportunity arose and soon had it in for the body and paint work it deserved.   Then life and kids happened and there she sat in the garage for a later day that just never seemed to come. driven now and then. but not really car seat equipped for family life.

With that said I stepped into the picture and finished up what still needed done.   All the Interior (including new headliner etc. )  all new rubber parts (including window channels. felts etc)  New dash. seats. windshield. rear window gasket. shift boots. carpet and on and on.   So now she sits here in all her splendor awaiting a bay in your barn.   Mine is full I'm afraid. I have enjoyed the toy but a thoroughbred like this deserves her own stall and a chance to run wild.   That's where you boys come in.

Lets talk about what she is so you can get to know her better.   Her heart beats with all the power of a 390 cubic inch and a stock 4 speed just for kicks.   She has Power Disc stoppers. Power steering and a dana and 9 inch to put the power to the trail.   All the gauges work. even the tach.   The paint is Elenor gray and shines like a new penny.   It's not a show paint job but hey I'm really picky.   Everyone who sees it loves the color and compliments us on the overall skin of our old girl.   All chrome is original and in good overall condition.   Is she a show truck. no. but on a scale of one to ten I would give her a strong 8. 5 on all counts.   As for her performance. she drives like a Ferrari. OK not quite.   It is and old truck so it does what old trucks do well. drive anywhere and anytime but it does it really does drive great on the new Cooper tires and custom wheels.  The Four wheel drive hubs turn effortlessly into four wheel drive the transfer case is smooth and strong. There are no squeeks or rattles and it glides smooth down the road shifting easily through all gears.   Steering is solid and the power and torque just keep coming.   The Edelbrock carb fires right up every time and the axles are quiet and smooth.   Brakes stop well and even the heater works like new.   The trans shifts perfectly with the recent clutch replacement and is smooth and normal sounding for a truck.  The only thing that needs replaced is the stereo but it may just be a wiring issue. easy fix I'm sure.   No suprizes just smiles!

In the end this good old girl just needs a new home.   You have to be the one to decide if you have the room for a great toy.   She will always do her part and never let you down.   Don't miss this chance at a great old/new F100 that will curl your toes every time you mash the go pedal to the floor or head to the hills to play!  Happy Bidding!!!
