THIS IS AN ORIGINAL FORD ESCORT RS2000 MK1 WHICH WE ‘ADR RACING' HAVE OWNED. BUILT AND MAINTAINED SINCE 14TH DECEMBER 1997. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED FROM IAN HARWOOD IN ELLESMERE PORT AS A ROLLING SHELL.

WE HAVE THE COMPLETE DVLA HISTORY ON HER AND ALL THE RECEIPTS OF HOW MUCH SHE COST TO BUILD. ALSO FULL MAINTENANCE RECORD OF RECEIPTS AND A SET OF EXCEL ACCOUNTS TO GO WITH HER TO HER NEW OWNER.

BODY SHELL:

TYPE 49 SHELL WITH V5 IN GOOD/EXCELLENT CONDITION THIS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY OUR BODY SHOP GUY. FOR HER AGE AND YEAR. ALSO NOTE IF THIS CAR IS TO BE PLACED BACK ON THE ROAD THERE IS AN AREA WHICH NEEDS ATTENTION FOR MOT CERTIFICATION. WE NEVER HAD IT DONE AS WE HAVE BEEN USING IT AS A RACE CAR AND NOT FOR A ROAD APPLICATION.

SHE WAS REGISTERED WITH BOTH THE RS OWNERS CLUB AND AVO CLUB FOR MANY YEARS AND WAS A WELL KNOWN CAR IN NORTH WALES.

THE CHASSIS RAILS HAVE BEEN FILLED WITH WAXOIL AND REALLY COATED INSIDE. SHE HAS BEEN STORED INSIDE OUR DRY WORKSHOP.

ALSO NOTE SHE ORIGINALLY HAD FITTED ON THE REAR REVERSING LAMPS WE FILLED THE HOLES IN BUT THEY CAN BE EASILY SEEN FROM INSIDE THE BOOT/TRUNK AREA. IF YOU WANTED TO REFIT THEM (THEY COME IN THE SPARES KIT).

CYLINDER HEAD IS A SIERRA INJECTION (ANGLED PORTS). IT'S ALSO BEEN HEAVILY WORKED ON PORTING ON THE INLET AND EXHAUST PORTS TO MATCH THE INLET MANIFOLD AND EXHAUST MANIFOLD.

CUSTOM ONE OFF DESIGNED FOR HEAD A CUSTOM EXHAUST MANIFOLD WHICH HAS BEEN MATCHED ON PORTING SIZE

LUMINITION IGNITION WITH MICRO DYNAMICS REV LIMITER

DISTRIBUTOR HAS BEEN REBUILT AND SETUP BY H & H DISTRIBUTORS FOR RACING

CYLINDER HEAD HAS BEEN SERIOUSLY WORKED AND BOTH INLET AND EXHAUST PORT HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY ENLARGED

WEBER TWIN 50 CARBURETTORS AND A ONE OFF CUSTOM MADE INLET MANIFOLD FLOWED AND MACHINED SPECIALLY FOR THE WEBERS AND MATCHED TO THE ENLARGED INLET PORTS ON THE HEAD.

TITAN DRY SUMP SYSTEM AND A POLY V BELT SYSTEM AND NEW ALTERNATOR FITTED. ALSO INCLUDED IS A BRACKET FOR A COSWORTH ENGINE UPGRADE SO THE SYSTEM CAN BE TRANSFERRED TO IT. WITH AEROQUIP HOSING CATCHMENT TANK IN THE REAR PLUS OIL COOLER IN THE FRONT

RADIATOR IS A 3 CORE INSTEAD OF THE 2CORE. THE RADIATOR WHICH HAS BEEN FULLY REBUILT AND HAD NEW CORES PUT IN. THE COOLING SYSTEM HAS A FULL SET OF BLUE SILICON HOSES. THE FAN IS A HIGH POWERED FAN.

CLUTCH IS A AP 4 PADDLE CLUTCH SYSTEM/CABLE CLUTCH SYSTEM

ENGINE SHORT BLOCK IS LIGHTENED AND BALANCED WITH A SKIMMED FLYWHEEL.

WORLD CUP CROSSMEMBER WITH POLY BUSHED ENGINE MOUNTS.

EXHAUST SYSTEM:

FROM THE MID SECTION BACK IT'S A ASHLEY ONE BOX SYSTEM IN EXCELLENT CONDITION STILL WITH ITS BLACK POWDER COAT.

THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD IS A ONE OFF CUSTOM BUILT MANIFOLD WHICH MATCHES THE ENLARGED EXHAUST PORTS.


STEERING:

CLOSE RATIO 2 1/4 TURN QUICKRACK WITH NEW GAITERS.

DOUBLE WIDTH ANTI-ROLL BAR AND RED POLY BUSHED.


GEARBOX AND AXLE:

QUAIFE 4-SPEED STRAIGHT CUT HEAVY DUTY PRO RACE GEARBOX WITH STEEL RINGS WITH QUAIFE ROSE JOINTED GEAR LEVER.

PROP SHAFT IS A GRP1 RALLY PROP SHAFT LIGHTENED AND BALANCED WITH NEWLY FITTED UV JOINTS.

SALISBURY AXLE WITH A TRAN-X LSD DIFF. THIS AXLE IS 5LINKED AND HAS THE GRP4 LINKING (MOUNTS) AND WATTS LINKAGE WELD ON KIT ATTACHED PLUS RADIUS ARMS MOUNTINGS (YELLOW POLY BUSHED SEE PHOTO BUCKET PHOTOS LINK). WE NEVER USED THE FOUR LINKING OR WATTS LINKAGE AS WE NEVER PUSHED THE BHP ABOVE 200BHP. ALSO NOTE THE HALF SHAFTS HAVE NEW END BEARINGS ATTACHED.


BRAKES:

FRONTS HAVE 4POT PRINCESS CALIPERS WITH NEW SEALS KITS IN AND HAVE BEEN RECENTLY FULLY REBUILT AND PAINTED WITH NEW BLEEDER VALVES.

SOLID VENTED DISCS ARE FITTED ON THE FRONTS WITH RACING HIGH TEMPERATURE PADS WITH LOADS OF LIFE LEFT IN THEM.

BRAKE FLUID IS RACING TEMPERATURE SILICON BRAKE FLUIDS.

REAR THERE COSWORTH REAR CALIPERS WITH DISCS AND  A COSWORTH BURTON'S FITTING KIT FOR A HANDBRAKE CABLE SYSTEM (NEEDS FITTING) ALL COMPLETE AND READY.

ALL BRAKE LINES ARE AEROQUIP THROUGHOUT.

WILWOOD BRAKE BIAS VALVE PLUMBED INTO BRAKING SYSTEM.

HYDRAULIC HANDBRAKE KIT INCLUDED


SUSPENSION:

BILSTEIN FRONT WORLD CUP STRUTS WITH BILSTEIN TARMAC 300/70 INSERTS WITH NEW SEALS RECENTLY FITTED. THESE ARE FULLY ADJUSTABLE PLATFORMS WITH 400LB FRONT SPRINGS.

ALLOY ROLLER TOP MOUNTS WITH NEW BEARINGS FITTED AND ALLOY CAPS TO PROTECT BEARINGS.

SHE IS POLY BUSHED THROUGHOUT RED ON THE ANTI-ROLL BAR AND YELLOW AND ON THE REMAINDER OF THE CAR.


REAR:

BILSTEIN YELLOW TARMAC SHOCKS

ALL SUSPENSION COMPONENTS ARE LINKED BY POLY BUSHING THERE ARE NO RUBBER BUSHES.


FUEL SYSTEM

AEROQUIP HOSING HAS BEEN USED THROUGHOUT WITH THIS AND IT HAS A TOP KING FILTER SYSTEM AND RED TOP FUEL PUMP. THE FUEL CELL IS ALLOY AND BAFFLED WITH ONE WAY VALVES ALLOWING FOR VENTING. ALL FITTED WITH AEROQUIP HOSING.


ROLLCAGE:

IS SAFETY DEVICES BOLT IN 6POINT SYSTEM WITH A NUMBER AT THE FOOT OF THE LEG ON THE MID AREA NEAR PILLAR ALLOWING A SAFETY CERT FOR MOTORSPORT COMPETITION.


SAFETY EQUIPMENT INSTALLED:

FIRE EXTINGUISHER SYSTEM IS INSTALLED WITH THREE NOZZLES ONE IN THE ENGINE BAR. ANOTHER IN THE DRIVER AREA AND ANOTHER IN THE BOOT/TRUNK. THIS REQUIRES RE-CERTIFYING TO BE COMPETITION COMPLAINT AND WE CAN SUPPLY A COMPANY WHO WILL RE-CERTIFY IT FOR YOU FOR A MERE £40-45.

ALSO THE SEAT IS A MAGNUM KEVLAR GRP REINFORCED SEAT WHICH WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED IN ACCORDANCE WITH DATE STAMPING FOR ANY FIA GOVERNED COMPETITION.

THE SEAT BELT IS SAFETY DEVICES 6POINT 3 INCH WIDE BRAID (IF YOU ARE USING THE CAR FOR A FIA EVENT THEN THE HARNESS WILL REQUIRE REPLACEMENT DUE TO TIME STAMP BEING EXCEEEDED).

REAR BRAKES ARE COSWORTH CALIPERS WITH NEW ROAD PADS. THERE IS ALSO HANDBRAKE CABLE FOR THIS INSTALLATION. DISC CONVERSION HAS BEEN DONE AND A PROPER BURTONS POWER FITTING KIT HAS BEEN USED.

ALSO THE DASHBOARD IS A RARE TWIN POD SYSTEM ‘ORIGINAL'  WE HAVE BEEN TOLD.
