HI-RES PHOTOS BELOW DESCRIPTION
Exceptionally Rare 1965 Rambler (AMC) Marlin for sale. Designed to compete with the Ford Mustang. which outsold the Marlin 55-to-1. This Marlin has the top spec matching numbers 327 5. 3L V8 engine and the top spec 4 barrel Holley carburetor. In the family for approximately 15 years.  Car was restored in the early 90's and definitely shows wear and tear since then. but has always been garaged.
In terms of condition. it is a daily driver. with a few cosmetic flaws. If 1 is a basketcase and 10 is a concours show car. this Marlin is a 6. 5-7. with a 5-footer paint job that has its share of nicks and dings. but shows reasonably well and shines. The interior is in very good condition. with only minor wear. and a cracked dash that has been repaired amateurishly. Underbody appears solid. with some surface rust. and body appears solid. although rust repairs certainly were made at the time of the restoration. These areas. while not rusted. show signs of repair. aka waviness and fiberglass patching (primarily the areas at the very bottom of the rear quarter-panels as far as I can tell. ) The 327 V8 has fantastic power and runs smoothly. The automatic transmission was rebuilt recently and shifts as it should. BFgoodrich white-letter Tires are almost brand new. with less than 500 miles on them. This car is a solid driver and is ready to be enjoyed as-is. or could be a lower-level show car with a little bit of work and some patience.
Things that I know that do not work: The fuel gauge. and the original AM/FM radio. I believe the radio just needs to be hooked up to power.
I am sure there are some things I am forgetting. but if you are thinking of bidding on this car. you probably know what you are looking at. You definitely will not blend in with all the Mustangs. Camaros and Mopars at your next cruise-in!
Title is clean clear and ready to be transferred to the new owner.
