This is an unrepeatable opportunity to purchase an original Right Hand Drive Fiat 2300S Coupe by Ghia. Our car was sold new in the UK in 1964. one of approx 20 cars known to exist. It is one of the rarest cars on the market today. I actually sold it to its previous owner 8 years ago. and not one other example came on sale in the meantime. Not only it is rare but it has been fully restored some time ago. has just had an engine rebuild and must be the nicest example out there with the most comprehensive history. It is finished in Silver with Black interior with Red carpets.

The Fiat 2300 was a model produced by Italian automotive manufacturer Fiat between 1961 and 1969. One of the less well known 'niche' Fiat models of the 1960s was the 2300 and 2300S Coupé. first seen in 1961. Elegantly styled by Ghia. the 2300 had true Grand Touring style and panache which often earned it the 'poor man's Ferrari' tag. Inside the 2300 Coupe featured power operated windows and other luxury fittings. Mechanically the 2300 lived up to its expectations with power assisted brake discs for all four wheels and a powerful 2. 3 litre six cylinder engine (with twin-carburettors on the S version). Production continued in limited numbers until 1968.

The 2300 saloon (styled by Pininfarina) is noteworthy as the first Fiat model to become available with a fully automatic transmission which replaced the Saxomat clutch and manual gearbox as an optional extra in 1966. Most 2300s and all 2300S coupés had a four-speed all-synchromesh gearbox.

Our car has only had 3 owners from new. the last being Mark Dixon. of Octane Magazine fame. who has documented his time with the car in the magazine. The car was subjected to a comprehensive restoration in the late nineties and more recently has had the engine rebuilt. It has the original owners manual. brochure. owners envelope and other super rare items in the history box. There is also a large selection of valuable spare parts including an engine and gearbox!

This is one of the most beautiful Grand Touring cars of the sixties. they were very expensive and exclusive when new and a restored RHD example is unheard of. This exact car was the subject of a Classic & Sportscar artivle in 1988 on the moedel. If you miss this. you may only have 10 years or so to wait for the next one. Call me if you think this may be for you.
