GR8 Cars are delighted to offer for sale this very collectable 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo. First registered on 1st August 1986 this car has had a total of 8 former keepers in its 28 year life and is supported by a substantial file of paperwork.

Service History /MOT

We have listed the service history below. the last service (Woodward Motors) was carried out by us when we took the vehicle in to stock. We asked the garage (our local Porsche specialist) to go through the car and rectify any faults identified. The air conditioning was over-hauled (and is now ice cold). the electric mirrors were fixed and the brake fluid was changed. The only item noted at the time but not rectified was a slightly noisy fuel pump which we were advised was fully functional and not requiring replacement just yet. The MOT expires on 27th August 2014 . the only advisories were both rear tyres (which appear to have been replaced) and a deteriorated front anti roll bush which was not highlighted as an issue when Woodward motors inspected the vehicle.

Bodywork/General Condition

The car is in very good condition for a car of its age. and whilst it has obviously had some paintwork during the course of its life it has been carried out to a reasonable standard. The sills appear to have been replaced and the only current signs of corrosion are some very small blisters just under the edge of the front wheel arches (I have tried to photograph as best I can). The interior is in superb condition as you will see from the photos. everything works as it should with the exception to the retro fit radio which I have not replaced as I thought it best to let the new owner decide whether to replace with an original factory fit radio or a modern unit.

Drive

Having driven the car some 200 miles. I can confirm that it starts . drives and handles exactly as expected and whilst is it 28 years old it is still more than capable of holding its own with a lot of modern sports cars.

General

If you are looking at buying a 944 Turbo you already know that these cars are becoming increasingly collectable – maybe not as collectable as an eighties 911 but at half the price it's probably a better drive.
