California car from new. I purchased the car from the family that had had it from the mid 70's. It had been in storage since 1994. But has had some restoration between now and then. The car has 52. 00 Original miles. Registered as a 1972 in CA.
The motor was completely rebuilt by Tim Ming (Honda 600 Guru from what I am told. and now believe after driving this car). Motor was built using mainly nos parts and has less than 500 miles since. It was done a few years ago and is non number matching. It really runs good. Starts right up and has good power. Clutch and CV joints rebuilt at that time too. Just over $3k was spent.
Body is excellent and original. Very very solid. Blisters in one rear corner and that is it. Rockers. floors etc. all PERFECT. Pictures will really tell the story on this car. Probably about as clean as can be found these days. The rubber seals. glass. interior plastic and stuff nearly impossible to get are all good on this car. Original interior is mint. Driver seat has a tear. near bolster and one is a loose seam. Drivers carpet is bad and one crack in dash less then an inch. the dash is super nice. Interior is cherry overall. Headliner is perfect. See photos.
I have no idea why the hood was painted. it is the original hood and I can see no damage from underneath and no signs of filler. The car had door dings and one crease in the passenger rear quarter panel. If I were to keep the car I would paint the exterior the original color and call it done. It would be one of the nicest out there at that pint. All the chrome is very good and bright. This car was obviously indoors all its life.
I will keep the original as well. I also have an nos clutch cylinder. and a few other small parts. I do have an original air filter assembly as well.
Has original jack and tools.
All lights and electrical are working as they should. New battery. Two brand new front tires. rears are very low miles as is spare.
Please ask questions before bidding. I can hold the car for 30 days while transportation arrangements are made.
I have clear signed title from second owner and proof of CA non-op showing no back fees due. Both original Blue plates. Title matches vin. so no issues. I drove the car over 50 miles just yesterday. Fun. Fun. Fun. And don't go to the gas station unless you have an extra half hour to burn showing off your car. When I bought this car I drove it 60 miles home at 60 mph uphill in the rain with no trouble.
This is a low vin car AZ600 1001082.
I have an album of over 100 detailed photos. Use ask seller a question and send your email if you want me to send you a link to the slickpic. com album.
Micro cars have been hot in the market. This car is one that can actually be driven and will represent a very sound investment for the new owner. And it is priced to move.
