this is my stunning 1970 daimler sovereign same as jaguar 420 . ive only owned her for about six months but in that time ive spent many happy hours working on her and spent two much money to make her the beauty you see in the pictures. ive been right through the car front to back replaced axle mounting bushes ball joints refurbed all the brakes callipers are nearly new got her running properly cleaned and set up the carbs ive fitted the in tank lead replacement to the offside tank only the other tank is fully working just hasnt got the lead replacement. full water hose set fitted. replaced rear wheel bearings. tyres are all good with plenty of tread. i then set about the interior new door cards new carpets new roof linning not origonal new furflex around door openings new door rubbers. the seats have been recoulerd at some point and really dont look bad but there is a rip in drivers seat squab which can be seen in the photo. she has just passed the mot so has full year no roadtax but shes exempt anyway so nothing to pay. she drives as she should everything feels tight and engine runs really well with loads of power you expect from this sort of carauto box changes gear as it should. there are some small inperfections in the paint but nothing terrable there is no rust or filler bubbling underneath the paint. the underside of the car has had a couple of welding repairs as youd expect from a car this age but these have been done to a very high standard and are around the jacking points. the underside is fully waxoil undersealed and in surprisingly good condition. the chrome isnt perfect rear bumper is poorest but shines up nicely with a polish but could be improved if new oner wishes or is perfectly useable as is. milage is 75000 i have no history with the car to prove this but looking at condition and how she drives i have no reason to disbalive it. to sum up a stunning looking useable daily driver if you wish or for showing at the weekends.
