1966 Plymouth Fury III Commando383 Big Block

This car came from the factory with the high performance Commando package that consisted of their 335HP engine featuring 4-barrel carburetor. 10 ½ to 1 compression. 727 transmission. 8 ¾ rear end.   These motors were the choice of many of the law enforcement agencies in 1966.

I am the second owner having purchased the car in 1985.   It was a choice original.   My wife drove it as is for ten years.   At that time. I put the car away.   Several years ago. I decided to take it out and spiffy it up.   The following represents some of the work done.   Complete motor rebuild with roller rockers. new push rods. new valves and valve guides. new lifters. bore with new pistons. new water pump and housing. new electric fan. high performance manifold. carburetor. Purple cam. PEI Mallory ignition. new aluminum radiator. brake boosters and master cylinder.   New ball joints. new U joints. all new bushings in the front end. four wheel SSB stainless steel disk brakes.   Most of the parts are stock Chrysler high performance parts.

The body was completely stripped and refinished in the stock color which was known in 1966 as Soft  Daffodil.   Original interior is green and in excellent condition.   Bumpers have been restored and rechromed.  Most of the stainless trim has been restored.   The car currently has 20 inch Boyd Coddington wheels.     I also have the original wheels and hubcaps with tires and the fender skirts.   The car is a matching serial number car and has less than 700 miles since its restoration.   It has always been garaged and would be considered a solid 8 ½ to nine.

Thank you for your interest and offers.      TED

Your car is beautiful! i Have a 66 Sport Fury 3 myself. I'm having a hard time finding wheel sizes for my car, and i stumbled upon your post, so i figured id ask. Did you have to do any modifications to make those 20" Rims to fit? I was looking at doing 18x7 in the front and 18x8 in the back and im just not sure how theyll fit.
