With its fantastic look, this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is a gorgeous Numbers Matching C2 that reminds us of the old Prince song, "Little Red Corvette." Not much changed for the 1966 model of Corvettes, however they did feature new style grille and updated "Corvette" script on the hood. Backup lights also became standard equipment in 1966 and they were incorporated into the rear inboard taillight housing. This particular example comes to us out of a large Wyoming collection, where it spent at least the last 10 years. Under the hood is a Numbers Matching 327 Cubic Inch V8 engine with a Holley Single 4 Barrel Carburetor that pushed out 350 horsepower in its day. The 327 V8 is hooked up to a 4 Speed Manual Transmission that makes this 'Vette a super fun car to drive. This '66 Corvette is equipped with all-wheel disc brakes for improved stopping power. Dual Exhaust provides the trademark Corvette roar. Sitting on 4 Whitewall Radial Tires wrapped around Knock-Off Wheels, this Sting-Ray has that classic Corvette look. The fiberglass body on this 1966 Corvette has a stunning look having been refinished in its original color, Rally Red. The black vinyl convertible top is also in excellent shape and appears to have been recently replaced. The interior of this Corvette appears just as it did when it rolled off the St. Lous factory floor in late July 1966. The Black Vinyl Bucket Seats are in superb condition and are exactly what this Corvette was ordered with. The dash is in its stock configuration, equipped with a 160 MPH Speedometer, Tachometer, Oil Pressure Gauge, Water Temperature Gauge, Fuel Gauge, Amp Gauge, Electric Clock, and AM/FM Radio. The teakwood steering wheel is in fantastic shape as well, elevating the interior look of the Corvette. If you're looking for a Little Red Corvette to take on a summer cruise, this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is the car for you. Give us a call today!
