1986 VW Westfalia Vanagon transporter full camper 2.1L Water cooled with AC

You are looking at a very nice original VW Westafalia full camper. It is from 1986 and has been cared for very well and was garaged for most of its life. Since it is a California car. it has virtually no rust with exception of two spots (one under the front window and one under the rear window (see pictures). It is on its second engine which has approximately 100. 00 miles on it. This engine is not a rebuilt one. it is a used engine from a donor van. As these engines have a life of between 250k and 300k. if maintained. this one should last for a very long time to come. Everything on the Vanagon works well. including the refrigerator. stove and AC. The interior of the Van looks very nice (I would give it a 9 out of 10) and this is a non smoker car. All upholstery looks near mint. all appliances are like new (no stains. deep scratches or dings) and the plumbing looks like it was just installed. The camper top is tight. has no tears cracks or holes and looks very nice (It is the original single window top). The upholstery is in excellent shape since it has been covered for all its life. Both beds (upstsairs and downstairs are comfortable and the foam is still in nice firm shape. All appliances are in extremely clean condition and the car has a trailer hitch. for which we will be supplying the bike rack attachment for free. The power locks work great and lock every lock of the car. We even still have the original gasoline cap and key. The wheels have been upgraded to Gowesty 16" and the tires have about 90% tread left. Although I am not a mechanic. I would say this should be a great clean camper van for immediate use.

July 2013 Service:
Engine compression test checked out very well. confirming good engine condition Replaced overflow and extra coolant tank Flushed old sulphate free coolant and replaced it with new sulphate free coolant. (Important for VW Vanagons since sulphate would corrode the engine!) Replaced ignition Central locking system (Power locks) repaired Brand new Battery
