I am old school . would like all leading bidders to call me 2 days before the auction closes and let me know you are for real.
… I talk WAY better than I type …
I only want to auction this car once .
I will not be relisting it if a winning buyer flakes …you will be reported the Studebaker Factory Police and banned forever from owning a quality Studebaker automobile.
This Studebaker coupe really stands out in a crowd. and is always the topic of conversation where ever it is parked. …1950 Chevys wish they had the style and lines of a Studebaker
Own a rolling piece of automobile artwork… its value will out distance and stand the test of time…and put a smile on your face when you spin the N50's leaving the cruise night
Car inspections & test drives are welcome!

and I can add a “aftermarket” propeller for the bullet nose for $120 … if someone wants it . they are rare and hard to find
On Feb-26-14 at 09:24:07 PST. seller added the following information:
Wow … the phone is ringing off the hook…
I love it …There are people who still “talk” and not email!
Test-drives booked … today and tomorrow …
I also got a call from the “South Bend Indiana Studebaker Mafia” … Charging me with violating the “Pureness of Studedom” by sticking a Bow-Tie in the engine compartment …
Honest . I did not do that . when I got the car. some 6 years ago. she was being built to run a 800 hp blown Bow-Tie down the quarter mile and had already had the surgery of S-10 frame replacement …I just used the existing Chevy engine mounts as a quick way to get her on the road.
I kept the body as stock as possible . and made the exhaust quiet. (like maybe it could have R1 engine in it. )
There's still a lot of detailing to do. nbsp; but its all minor. All the “heavy lifting” is done .
I will try to do a video of the car next . weather permitting … rain is finally coming to Northern California!
1. Question about the Dash - it was created by my buddy (a guy who engineers elevators). He made the steel plate to house the gauges in the area that formerly housed the factory Speedometer area and then we got a Speedometer to fit where the factory clock was. (We should of patented it and made a kit for it. I am sure you will see it copied in the future )
He also created the heat & a/c vents where the old square gauges used to be on each side of the gauges . great engineering on his part.
2. Question about the VIN . it's G-878345
3. Question about the propeller . it will only be offered to the buyer of the Stude.
4. Question . Will I end the auction early ? I had not planned to do that … plus the caller did not make a dollar amount offer to do that?
I am scared to add up all the dollars & time invested in it …the question is how much is am I going to lose on the Studebaker . the reserve is set at about half the estimated cost to build it today … the chrome “bullet noses” now sell north of $600 for a mint one . the 1952 Studebaker Glass Taillights go for around $300 pair. the 2006 GTO buckets go for $1. 00 a pair.
Call anytime . 916-764-0700
