1985 Porsche 944 Automatic

Sale price: $630.00 make an offer

Seller's notes: "This car came straight from the repair shop 12 years ago in great condition and was parked outside to just sit and rot. The car is sun damaged in that it needs new paint, carpet, stearing wheel cover, rubber seals, buttons to push, rear view mirror etc. The interior has been subjected to the hot sun for years. We took the old battery out and discarded it, but it still has 12 year old gas and oil in it. Tires while looking fine are also really old. The motor should be fine except for anything that may have happened due to sitting for so long. There is no body damage other than a scrape mark in the paint on the rear and pealing paint. This car has never been in an accident. I am the origional owner. You are purchasing a non-running vehicle."

This car was absolutely the most fun to drive of any car I have ever owned. Zero to 60 in 8. 3 seconds and a top speed of 130. although I only took it to 105 once.  Buying it with an automatic transmission was also the best decision I ever made. The car is now a total rehab project for some one due to the fact that I parked it outside for 12 years and forgot about it. so its a good project or its full of good parts. I also failed to keep it up to date with the DMV and they want $729 dollars for me to get it updated.  I refuse to pay it. so buy it for parts or what ever. but be aware you may have to haggle a deal or pay the $729 to register it.
So why did a great car get parked for 12 years. I just brought it home from getting the oil changed and a few minor repairs and my husband told me to stop driving it and sell it while it was in perfect running condition. Our Porsche repair place had closed and getting it worked on had become hard with no dealerships near by. so I parked it and couldnt bring my self to sell it.  Since I didnt have a garage to store it in it got old and damaged. Oh and I got a new Lexus. which isnt any where near as fun. but can get fixed easily locally.
So you are bidding on a non-running (no battery. and old gas) car that needs a lot of fixing up to look good.
I am the origional owner. a girl. and cant tell you anything not in the catalog about motors and such. I have no idea what a "Drive type" is. to fill that in.  I have taken pictures to try and show all the damage to the car. It really needs to be totally restored or salvaged for parts.
