I acquired this rust free colorado car in 1977. it had a Studebaker V-8 with 2 speed automatic trans with stock 2 wheel drive 4 cylinder chassis. I cleaned the plugged fuel line and got it started. then took it for a test drive. It ran pretty well for a 50's back yard hot rod. but I wasn't impressed so the saga begins…. After totally stripping body to bare metal. having all the chrome replated and all the trim  repolished I acquired a utility wagon frame and boxed it completely. I installed completely rebuilt wagoneer suspension with new 12" brakes and 3" dual main leaf springs. I purchased a wrecked 1968 monaco with only 1200 miles on it and used the 383 engine and tranny after adapting the tranny to a direct Jeep transfer case and disassembling the engine for a few modifications. By this time unleaded fuel had arrived so new hard valve seats were added along with a matched set of springs and purple cam from Mopar performance. topped off with 3 deuce carbs and Mallory distributor/ ignition. The power brake booster was from the Monaco along with the pedals. I used a tilt telescoping column from a Chrysler and steering box from a scout 2. The paint was Ditzler duracryl 100% red mixing tint along with black for the accent. I was able to get all the stock instrumentation to work on the 12 volt system with resistors altho 1950 gauges not very accurate. I added a consul with aircraft instrumentation and a nice stereo altho the cd player since mounted at an angle does not work. the instructions said DO NOT MOUNT ON ANGLE. but it would not fit any other way. not a problem since the side pipes bellow a nice tune and you can't here the stereo anyway…. The interior. top. side curtains and carpet were all custom upholstered by the Autoweave in Denver. seat backs are monogramed with the Willys logo. There are more details that I likely have forgot to mention. but you get the Idea. right? I have the car stored in a car bubble in my garage. so it stays clean and dust free. bubble goes with the car. I recommend you pick up vehicle. so I can go over some details and test drive. I expect cash or certified funds. no paypal.  I also have a certified appraisal dated 8-16-2011. for a replacement value of $44. 00. 00. The car has been in storage since then and I'm sure the value has gone up since then. This is a fast and fun car to drive and consistent show winner.
