1970 70 Plymouth 440 Auto roadrunner Cheaper then a 426 hemi or 6 pack 4 spd car. My goal for the car was to have a super dependable driver. So I basically looked through everything on the car. Anything that wasn't in excellent condition either was restored or replaced.

When you first look at the pictures you might think. geez that body needs work. But if you put things in perspective. say if you buy a older restoration roadrunner for $25. 00. but the seat has a little tear. seem in a headliner is coming apart. just a few little rust bubbles on the quarters. the rearend only howls when you accelerate. that kind of a car. mine is a better deal. Other then the body the car basically had a fresh restoration. And this is a REAL ROADRUNNER. not a satellite with roadrunner logos.

Plus if you buy a car already painted. you honestly have no idea whats under that paint. The body could look just like this one. just all bondo'ed up so you can't see it. No suprises with this body and fix it how you want.

Here is what was done.

Brakes:

New brake shoes (rears were not replaced but are in new condition). new wheel cylinders. new lines. new metering block. rebuilt master cylinder. Drums cut all the way around.

Fuel system:

New tank. new sending unit. new lines. new fuel pump

Rearend:

Mopar 8 3/4 rearend. Fresh rebuilt 3:55 sure grip. I just changed the axle bearings and seals.

Tires:

Original Rallye wheels. New Cooper Cobra tires

Wiper system:

New windshield fluid tank. new windshield fluid tank pump. new lines. Rebuilt wiper motor. New wiper blade refills.

Cooling:

New 26" aluminum radiator built to the exact specs of a factory 26" radiator. New cap. New Mopar fan shroud (for the 26" radiator). New hoses. rebuilt/new water pump.

Motor :

Motor runs excellent. I pulled a head  cylinder walls are nice. The head I pulled had a Chrysler steal head gasket. which indicates it has never been apart before. I took the head to my local machine shop and had them inspect it. It was in perfect condition. Only thing changed was the valve seals.  New fuel pump. New/rebuilt water pump. All new points. condenser. cap. rotor. coil. New plug wires. new plugs. Rebuilt starter. New thermostat. Rebuilt alternator. All new belts and hoses.

Trans:

727 automatic.   Shifts nice. New rear seal. New pan gasket and filter.

Front hubs:

New bearings and races. Hubs cut for new shoes.

Driveshaft:

New u joints. new slip yoke

Suspension:

All new shocks.

Exhaust:

Stock 70 roadrunner HP exhaust manifolds. professionally bent and installed exhaust to factory specs.

Battery : New

Windshield : New

Heater:

All new hoses and new heater core.

Interior:

Stock 70 roadrunner interior. New carpet. New door sills. New door panels and quarter Panels. New armrests and bases. New window cranks. New headliner. New seat covers from Legendary. Restored dash pad.   Rallye Dash was restored.

I removed all the wiring harness's. engine. dash. and rear harness. Cleaned them. Inspected all connectors (anything flawed was changed). then reinstalled.
