This particular 1978 Scout has been garage kept from Day 1, is completely unmolested and is in impeccable condition for a 36 year old sport utility vehicle! This is a prime example of everything a Scout II should be! This exterior is a rustic Woodbine Green with the white Rallye Stripes. Please note that some of the original Rallye decals have shrunk and chipped over the last 36 years. This Scout comes factory equipped with both a hard top and the removable bikini top. Both are in excellent condition, as you would expect from a car that has been preserved this nicely. The factory hardtop comes adorned with the optional luggage rack. The SUV sits upon a set of International Harvester wheels wrapped in 10-15LT Goodyear Tracker tires. It also left the factory in Fort Wayne, Indiana with heavy-duty shock absorbers for the ultima"

The Parchment vinyl interior screams originality! The minor wear and tear on the driver's seat brings some slight patina and authenticity of driver experience to the Scout. The rest of the interior. including the headliner. is in incredible shape. The original Line Setting Ticket shows that this SUV has a tilt steering wheel. as well as a sport power steering wheel.
Under the hood. authentic American V8 power is what drives this Scout! A 304 cubic inch V8 (#000290301) is mated with a T-407 3-speed automatic transmission and a TC-145 2-speed transfer case. YES! The 4x4 is functional! The A/C is operable and blows cold. This little SUV is ready for any and all adventures you can throw at it!
A bevy of original documents are included with the purchase of the Scout. The coup de grace of the framed original documents is the Line Setting Ticket. detailing how this late-model Scout II left the assembly line. Also included is the original Owner's Manual. Indiana Registration Slip. Sales Invoice and Inspection Report.
