Seller's notes: "This car has the best of everything, it is comfortable, yet firm and solid, it has all the power you need, and is very easy to drive. I did not skimp on the equipment I installed. All parts were supplied by Midwest Bayless (Matt) and Chris Obert. I put the car together myself, (I have been a mechanic for over 30 years. I worked at an ORIGINAL Fiat dealership in the late 70's!!) I have built 6 or 7 of these stoker motors for my friends over the years. The machine work was done by John Edwards Machine shop. This engine was in my X19,I removed it, rebuilt it and installed it in this car. My X19 got a K20. Forged Pistons are J&E, Ford Cosworth H beam construction light rods, fully ported Big valve head, (40mm intakes)B3 cam, custom made headers, dual 45 DCOE Webers, 1500 clutch with a 1300 ring gear, 8.5 pounds aluminum flywheel. Front struts are dual adjustable Koni coilovers, with 250lb Eibach springs (off the rear of an X19) Rear Mulholland struts."

Very rare 1974 Fiat 128 2 door Sedan. I HAVE NO PLACE TO PARK IT OTHERWISE I WOULD KEEP IT!!
Less than 8. 00 miles on all this.
The engine is a 1500 Fiat block. bored to 87mm. with a 67. 4 Stroker crank. custom made forged pistons (J&E) with the pin re-located to clear the Head.
I kept the compression ratio reasonable (around 10. 5 to 1 or so) to keep the reliability to a maximum and no detonation on pump gas (91 octane) that way I did not have to retard the ignition timing.
All the components were balanced separately and as a unit (Crank. Flywheel. PP. rods. pistons)

This car has the best of everything. it is comfortable. yet firm and solid. it has all the power you need. and is very easy to drive. I did not skimp on the equipment I installed.

I have built 6 or 7 of these stoker motors for my friends over the years.
The machine work was done by John Edwards Machine shop.
This engine was in my X19. I removed it. rebuilt it and installed it in this car.
My X19 currently has K20 motor in it.
Forged Pistons are J&E.
Ford Cosworth H beam construction light rods.
fully ported Big valve head. (40mm intakes)B3 cam.
custom made headers.
dual 45 DCOE Webers.
1500 clutch with a 1300 ring gear.
8. 5 pounds aluminum flywheel.
Front struts are dual adjustable Koni coilovers. with 250lb Eibach springs (off the rear of an X19)
Rear Mulholland struts.

Red line is 8. 00 RPM. (sounds beautiful) but it pulls from 2. 00 rpm. peak is about 4. 000 to 7. 00. no need to scream it all the time because of the enhanced torque from the Stroker. So it can be driven mellow. or not. The drive-ability is amazing for how fast it is.
It is a little cold blooded (I don't have the manual chokes hooked up) but it idles nicely at 1. 00 RPM or so.

It has a 4 speed trans. and a 5 speed clutch (bigger and stronger)

The interior. door panels. seats. carpet and steering wheel have been re done. At this time. I have a Sparco seat in the car (fits me like a glove) and speakers in the rear. I do however have the stock front seat. as well as the rear seats (I showed the options in the pictures)
The rear windows do open (Vent style. the latches work)
All the suspension bushings have been replaced in 2011. the rear control arms with bushings. the front ball joint. the front sway bar bushings. Front and rear struts. the CV joint on both axles (inner and outer) the axle boots (inner and outer) the steering rack and pinion.
Tires are 205 60 13 Toyo Proxes R888 fitted to the stock rim. with new beauty rings and chrome lugs (old school)
I have a rear sway bar (AADCO) that I have not installed. I will include in the deal.
The brake master cylinder. brake booster. rear wheel cylinders and front calipers were all replaced.
The engine mounts (front. dog-bone and transmission) were all replaced.
The radiator. heater core. and gas tank were removed and cleaned. I installed a points conversion kit from Crane cams with a XR3000 ignition box. the battery is a sealed unit located in the trunk. I tinted the widows and added Euro style lenses front and rear just for fun.

I have included some pictures of the rust along part of the rear window/trunk area. very common. but fairly minor. Floors are solid. fender seem rust free. doors all good. hinges are solid. 4 years after I had the car painted. some bubbling occurred in this area. BTW. the front hood is flat black. painted by a shop not a spray can.

I have never sold anything on eBay. That is why there is no history on me. I will gladly give you my facebook page so you can look me up.   I have been running my own business for over 20 years in Hollywood. Ca.   I own 5 Fiats (2 X's. a 128. a 1966 Abarth. 850 TC. and a 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth). I know these cars.
Feel free to ask me about anything regarding the condition of this car.   (323) 272-5425

If we get a house in the meantime. I will gladly keep it. and start my Jay Leno collection!

LASTLY. A fiat 1971 128 was my first car when I was 16 yrs old. some drunk destroyed it while it was parked on the street (was never caught). 30 plus years later. I found this one. That is how I got into Fiats. X19s and 128s.
