Current customer rating:
I peaked at the want ads and saw a ho-hum picture of this Buick here. I had a feeling there was something special to it so I showed my partner the pics and asked him what he thought. He wasn't that thrilled but I thought it was worth checking out. I had two things going for me: it was raining out and it was Super Bowl Sunday. one hour before the game was to start. The small ad had come out in the local want ads and I knew it was my time to jump.
I was met at the small storage yard by a handsome. boyish looking fellow. It turns out he was a big time Broadway star and was tidying up his brothers affairs. The man and his acquaintance were not that interested in doing anything but moving the Buick onto a new owner. We walked around the Buick for a few moments and one of them asked if there was an engine. We cracked the hood and I saw the 2 four barrel carburetors and the giant chrome air cleaner. It wasn't that interesting to anyone but me. so I shut the hood back down and moved to the back of the car. The man accepted my offer and I hauled home this magnificent auto home to my small garage.
When the Super Bowl was over all my friends huddled around the Buick and marveled at my good fortune. The car had been untouched for years and was actually the parts car for another vehicle under restoration. That was 1988. fast-forward 26 years and the Buick finally made its way out of the storage yard. I hooked up a hot battery and didn't get much out of the engine. I will look into that more as the weeks progress. Many pieces of this puzzle are here and the car looks very complete. It is missing the front bumper. I like this car very much and it was a breakthrough design in it's day. It's definitely a high-caliber vehicle and not for the faint of heart or light of wallet. I have been looking for a car just like this for the better part of two decades. This is not a common car. this is a heavy duty Buick and it's here for you thanks to carsanddogs 1970. We have shipping contacts and you may ask your questions and I will get this car to you just as soon as you want.
