Replica 1963 Austin Healey Sebring 3000 MX Not Shelby AC Cobra Classic Roadsters

This is a non-donor. freshly restored. Classic Roadsters MX Sebring replica of a 1963 Austin Healey 3000.

I bought this car in the summer of 2012 for $10 K and have been slowly rebuilding all the mechanicals.

I have built Cobra replicas before and wanted to try something a little different.

Everything but the body. trim. dash. gauges. glass. window mechanicals and tilt steering column is either new or fully refurbished.

I built this car to be safe. reliable and possibly do some autocross with.

It weighs approximately 2500 pounds and runs like a scalded dog with the 340 HP 5. 0 302.

Steering and braking response is incredible.

With an emissions legal camshaft and 9:1 compression ratio it starts easily. runs on 87 octane and is very easy to drive.

It cruises all day at 70 MPH only turning 2200 RPM with the 5 th gear OD.

It is titled as a 1988 so it has classic plates and does not require smog checks in Nevada.

If you want a car that has the classic looks of an Austin Healey but has updated new modern suspension. powertrain and safety measures this one is a good choice.

The paint is OK but certainly not show quality.

It looks fantastic from 5 feet away but there are a few imperfections.

It is titled as a 1988 special constructed vehicle.

It's a roadster!

Comes with a hard top with all new hardware and weather stripping.

Also have a soft top but no bows.

Hard top has some scratches and will need some attention.

The plexiglass was replaced by original seller and is in decent shape.

Comes with hard top pulley hoist too.

500 miles or so since rebuild.

Whats wrong with it:

The hood sits just a tad forward and a tad high (3/32).

It looks ok but its not perfect.

It can be adjusted by moving the latch accordingly.

The passenger side window can be a little hard to raise and lower as the crank has a little interference with the door speaker.

It does not go up 100%.

The window parts are inexpensive and are from a VW bug.

It works but I keep the windows down and drive it like a roadster so it has not been an issue.

As noted earlier there are couple small spider cracks and some scratches consistent with a 25 year old car.

The soft top has a small tear that can easily be repaired (Shoe glue) and I don't have the bows.

These can be made by a boat canvas shop or sourced from AH dealers.

The hard top does have some scratches and will need some attention.

I will discount the price by $600 if the hard top is not wanted.
