Last car I am selling from my collection. I bought the car after it had been restored by Sherwood Restorations in 2004. finished in British Racing Green with green suede leather interior and matching carpets I had chrome wire wheels fitted but still have the original steel wheels which obviously will go with the car
Have completed only 5 K miles in total since acquiring the car Mackies of Glasgow fitted a new Auto gearbox in 2009 due to a faulty reverse after which the car has covered less than 1 K in the last 4 years! It also had a new Header tank and solid state fuel pump fitted.
August 2013 it had new Exhaust manifolds all round. new steering rack (Rubber gaiter had perished at one end) and new adjustable front shockers fitted. The engine runs very well but does require fine tuning following it's removal to have the preceding mentioned work carried out. It has a sound exhaust system with the distinctive chrome V 12 e-type 'fishtail'.
All gauges work and the clock too !
The car looks superbe but there is microblistering starting to appear (see photos) and some rust behind the nearside rear wheel Arches and Sills are sound with the occasional surface rust spot I have had an estimate that it would take approx. £1. 5 K to have a satisfactory paint job and a fine tuning of the engine carried out.
Tyres are virtually new on the front and 8 mm tread rear.
It is a fine car that really needs to be used hence it's appearance on the market it is advertised elsewhere and I reserve the right to remove it from the auction at any time.
The car is priced competitively in view of the cosmetic work that the buyer may want to carry out.
