1938 Austin Seven Opal in superb condition.
The Opal was launched as a companion car to the Ruby and has very similar characteristics with the same front and the rear bodywork differing to the extent of the car being a two seater tourer with a square design of rear end providing good scope for storage behind the seats with the addition of a luggage bar.
The Opal was the first £100 Austin. Production ceased in 1939 and only around 100 survivors are believed to exist making this quite a rare car.
This car was in the same ownership for many decades and has been exceptionally well looked after with the previous owner having been a professional mechanic.
The car has excellent bodywork with straight panels and excellent paintwork. The hood looks to be relatively new and the interior is also in superb condition mechanically the car is running very well and is ready for the 2014 show season.
