This is a 1972 Plymouth Road Runner. in Lemon Twist yellow and originally powered by a 340 fed through an Air Grabber hood. Has rare V21/V25 longitudinal stripe option.

Restored circa 2005 by a previous owner. Featured in 7/2005 issue of Mopar Collectors Guide magazine. The broadcast sheet and original fender tag (has repro) are missing. as is the original engine.

Looks like there have been some dent repairs to quarter panels. These are undetectable from the exterior. but if you know where to look you can find them in the trunk. All other sheet metal appears original and unmolested. Solid rust free floors and trunk. Currently has some rock chips and a couple of bubbles in the LH rocker.

A couple of years ago. the car got rear ended. Fortuately. the damage was limited to the rear bumper. rear valance. and exhaust system. All damaged components were replaced. Only indication of the accident is a slight mis-match on the valence paint.

I have owned the car for the past three years and have made extensive mechanical improvements during that time. This includes installing a stroker motor (spec's below). rebuilding the transmission (w/ big block spec guts). rebuilding the differential (w/ clutch SG and crush sleeve eliminator). refreshing the front suspension (new poly bushings).

During that time I have also driven it 1500 miles on the Hot Rod Power Tour. as well as to numerous shows hundreds of miles away. It serves as my fair weather ride to work. I put about 1500 miles on it in 2013 alone (and I consider that a slow year). This is a car put together to be driven. Speedometer/odometer broke a couple years ago (has since been replaced with a restored one). so I've lost track of mileage. but I've probably put close to 10K miles on it since 2010.

EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR WORKS.

The car is a joy to drive. and the stroker small block gives up nothing to a big block in terms of performance. VERY quick.

Hasn't been on the track or on the dyno. but my butt dyno tells me it will run 12s if it hooks. There is a lot of performance potential corked up in the stock intake too. If you want to go faster. 20+ horsepower is just an intake swap away. I built the engine with near 500 hp potential. but wanted it stock appearing so I kept the stock intake (albeit ported) and used a big block thermoquad carb.

This car is 100% sorted out and ready to enjoy. Not some trailer queen that can't carry its own weight. It's crazy fast and will blow the doors off most big block cars. Drive it anywhere with confidence. No disappointments. No surprises. No BS. You won't find a nicer one at this price.

High Res photos available on request. Keep in mind while viewing photos that the body work is over 8 years old. has held up exceptionally well. and should continue to look great for years to come. This car has not been shot with a fresh coat of cheap paint with lousy prep for purposes of a quick flip like you find on so many of the "restored" cars you see on Ebay. It was done right.

Exclusions: The car is shown equipped with a wide band O2 sensor and gauge which will be removed prior to sale.

Hi. I have no idea how old this ad is, but is the 1972 Roadrunner still for sale? If so, could you provide a phone number that I can call to ask about the vehicle. Thanks - Steve
