1966 Volvo P1800  / P1800S

Deeeply regretful and unfinished project of mine. Lost my workshop space and yard and I can keep moving her around. She been sitting 9 months in a garage and reality is I wont finish her.   Car is not in Esher. but now based in Bookham. Surrey

Body: - 85 of welding done. and rust removed from doors. sills and bad areas. To give you an idea what I  have done was done in red oxide paint to preserve inbetween periods of work. needs another 20 hours and she will be done. Part front box sections and a front arch needs attention but sills and the main body are good. Footwells and bases are all present with no gaping holes. I have tried to show how much time was spent on doors. inge areas. internal sills. and areas of that require attention. All have been dealt with. Pictures should show this.


Engine: Good running engine. was driven into the garage 9 months ago -  however I have not attempted to start it. Miles unknown sorry I forgot to check  - but its a good engine.


Running gear: as above was driven in there. Tyres are flat. but rims and the hub caps are excellent and all present.


Body parts: - all straight and present and cleaned - some minor surface rust from sitting around  - but nothing serious and not far off priming.


Seats and internal panels: Really good condition. no wear marks. no rips or tears. will clean beautifully. Pirelli webbing is like new. as is the seat frames and rail. Dash is the original and stunning.


Chrome: As you can see. all there and in really good condition.


Windscreen: rear is present however the front has been damaged in storage.


Switches. handles. rubbers etc are all pictured and what is there is there.


It is a restoration project - please dont be stupid and come round and tyre kick. Dreamers and scammers dont waste my time I am a busy man.

Being very similar to the early Jenson cowhorn model I do believe it will be a beauty of a car and needs finishing. For smart money I would break as spares and sell parts individually. but I dont have the time having 2 children under 2!!

The car was once used in a magazine article and shows how beautiful it was. I have a list of documents . MOTs. receipts  photos and articles of this.

Car is based in Bookham. Surrey and will need trailoring. A deposit will be required to secure the car and cash on collection please.
