1977 Alfa Romeo Alfasud ti Turbo. a very highly developed race car dry stored and unused since the mid 1980's. driven many times and developed by Steve Soper the well known Touring car driver and Peter Kitchen.

These cars were well known for corrosion. however this car has none of those issues. it has been a race car virtually from being a brand new car and of course has been off the road for 30 years or so. I doubt you would find another shell like this very easily.

As for the spec im not completely sure. it has a huge turbo fitted. some kind of water injection system and was running on methanol. the engine turns fine by hand and is obviously not standard but the exact spec is not known. the exhaust goes through the bulkhead and runs along the floorpan on the n/s.

Fully adjustable coil over suspension. roll cage fitted. slicks. fiberglass bonnet and n/s wing. lots of spares included. wheels. panels etc. all windows except the screen are plexiglass. the windows still wind up and down as normal.

The car appears mostly complete but for sure some parts will be missing.

This will make a great project. comes complete with a covering letter from Steve Soper confirming he drove the car on many uk circuits and did lots of development work on the car. although that was back in the 1980's

Also comes with several race results sheets in Production GT class. scrutineering tags etc

Mallory park 1979. 2 nd with fastest lap 56. 5 sec

BRSCC Alfa Romeo championship race 1983. 1 st and fastest lap 55. 8 sec

European formula 3 meeting. Donnington 1983. Production GT class 1 st in class. rd overall 1. 51. 87 (The two cars in front were a 5700 cc Corvette and a 3. 0 Porsche 911)

BRSCC Mid summer meeting. Silverstone 1984. 1 st and fastest lap 1. 07. 5

BRSCC Alfa Romeo championship meeting 1981. Snetterton 1 st (Practice) 84. 4

All this was a long time ago but the car has sat unused undercover since around that time. it is partially stripped and remember its a project but someone with a little knowledge and enthusiasum could get this car back on the track without too much trouble. a rare sight nowadays on the road or in competition so a very worthwhile project.

Hi
I spoke to you today about this car, shame you said it had left your hands, if it proved to be as good as it appears to be I would have given you a good sum for it.
I have collected Alfasuds and parts for over 10 years and I have probably everything to restore this, but would only want to do it for myself.
If you had any contact still to the buyer I would be grateful if you could pass them on. For reference the details say that one offer was made 19.07.2014 + one on 18.10.2014, so not that long ago.
Hopefully you can help, best Regards Graham Reid.
