This car was sold new in the UK on 01-07-1971 original UK Reg GGP 88J.  Original colour Pacific Blue with black trim. now Burgundy with magnolia trim. Original Manual 5 speed car that underwent full restoration in 1990-1992 when the colours where changed. the engine was also rebuild to full Vantage specification including pistons. cams. exhaust etc. etc. ZF gearbox was also reconditioned along with most other mechanical components. upgraded with Koni shocks all round. it has since covered just over 35. 00 miles.  The body was stripped to bare metal and resprayed. no rust was found in the car anywhere probably due to the car coming to Australia in 1974. This Aston overall is in excellent condition and has been converted to Haltec electronic fuel injection - although all original injection components come with the car.  Now for the bad news it was involved in a minor argument with a small tree - which resulted in some body work damage to the front left corner. passenger door skin and a dent in the roof - from a tree branch!!  The main chassis rails look to be unaffected and it comes with another complete front end and replacements for most of the damaged bits and pieces; including outer aluminium body work. bonnet. grill. front bumper. lights and inner guards - steel work. The only damaged mechanicals appear to be the left inlet manifold which was cracked - comes with a good replacement. the radiator - also comes with a good replacement. the header tank - comes with a good replacement. a dented left air cleaner housing - easily repairable. the left track control arm is bent. left front alloy rim damaged - but repairable. Both doors open and close as Aston doors should the front windscreen was unaffected so it appears that most if not all damage is cosmetic.  This represents a fantastic opportunity to acquire a genuine manual DBSV8 that has no rust in any of the steel work/body work and as such represents an easy repair task as opposed to a rusty life long UK car!  It currently resides in Australia however containerised shipping to the UK is cheap (circa $5k Aust) and easy for me to organise.  As it was sold new in the UK I suspect it is not subject to all the various import duties/sales taxes??. you will need to check this out with HM customs for yourself.  It comes with an extensive history file of receipts going back many years. old photographs. and also comes with a genuine factory Workshop manual. Spare parts catalogue and Handbook.  Only serious enquiries please. I have a number of other Astons under restoration this is just one too many and a criminal waste to see it sit around like this for another few years!  Appreciating and sought after DB Aston.
