As you can see from the above video this is a very rare offering. you simply cant find these cars in this condition. We took this little gem in part exchange from the long term owner who has been steadily restoring the car since 1998 and has spent thousands of pounds over the years.  
The car starts on the starter motor and runs sweetly. as expected. The brakes and handbrake are spot on. Side lights are working. Doors close firmly. Windscreen tilts.  Now before you rush to grab your cheque book and tell the wife how nice her hair is looking today. this is a running driving well restored car. but its not quite finished inside. nothing stopping you using it after a few little jobs. but it requires the door cards and trim panels covering with upholstery. all the panels are there. all brand new plywood. cut to shape and come complete with the roll of fabric required. It needs a headlining. there is a template made from cotton in  place at the moment and then a set readily available carpets will complete the interior. Theres a few other minor detailing jobs to finish. rear view mirror to fit. rubber on outer cills. door pull handles. all the parts are with the car to finish it completely. you will just need to buy a battery and carpet set.    Again please click on the video link above. because unlike other Austin's offered for sale with a fully fitted interior. we have been able to photograph and show you all the hidden. unseen rot areas you cant normally inspect and this car has nothing to hide. solid and well finished throughout.
We strongly recommend putting the car through a proper recommissioning. checking over everything prior to its first road trip. It seems to be all correct. the side and headlights are  correctly wired. trafficators and brake lights need looking at could be bulbs. not checked. Everything else seems to be in place and having looked carefully around the car it seems very complete.
A very well finished car with plenty of quality work undertaken. still some effort to complete and no you cant turn up with a battery and drive it home. it needs checking properly through. The seats are very well completed. the chrome is good. bumpers are new stainless steel items. engine bay is immaculate. paintwork is very good with a couple of minor niggles on close inspection. Wheels and tyres are excellent. including the spare wheel. There are five hub caps which are average condition. Complete with some original tools.  
The car is MOT exempt and on free historic road tax. so once your happy you've checked it over and got some insurance you can be the first to take this old girl back on the road. Theres a little paper history. old and new log books. owners manual and some receipts.
You simply wont find a better example offered for sale at this price. Find any other pre  war car for under 5 grand. let alone one in this condition.
