Re-listed due to non paying bidder. I am selling this truck for a friend. All questions are welcome and will be answered promptly. This truck was bought new by the City of Hayes. KS in 1974 and was used as a fire truck at the regional airport. When sold. it had less than 28. 00 documented miles. A previous owner subsequently removed the stickers and touched up the paint on the original slightly dinged cab. now somewhat faded) added steps. a new LMC step side wood floored bed. shocks. new LMC seat covers. and floor mat. Truck has factory power steering and limited slip rear axle. When I bought it I located a NOS rear bumper from a local dealer. added swing lock mirrors. and AC. I tagged it to go to the ranch. but I could not bear to tear it up. The bed looks mint and has not been used for hauling and other than a 500 mile drive home from the delivery point. and a few trips to neighboring towns. it has been again spending most of its time in a hanger. It has the original 360 V 8 and 4-speed . 410 transmission. with Dana axles. I also added new 7:50 x 16 tires. It runs and drives great! Additional photos gladly supplied upon request.
