Up for bid is a 1973 Super Beetle (Karmann) Convertible.   The original books in the glove box shows the vehicle was originally purchased in California.   I purchased the vehicle in 2011.   The main reason for purchase was the condition of the vehicle with the body very solid with no rust .   I  really don't know much about the history of the vehicle. but the previous owner was going to restore but didn't have the time or money and said the vehicle was from an estate.   The vehicle starts and runs good.   The car has gone through a bumper to bumper inspection replacing everything I saw needed to be replaced.   The brakes were in good condition. some new parts in the front end. gas tank removed and cleaned. new wiring harness in the engine compartment. spark plugs. spark plug wires. coil. distributor cap. fuel pump and filters.   New BF Goodrich T/A tires. hub caps. exhaust muffler tips. etc.   The top was recently (February) replaced with new back glass window and padding from a professional installer.   Approximately 25% of the car has been refinished. the rest was in great condition.   I would rate the paint job about an 8 out of 10.   The body is very straight with no dents or dings.   I never got to the under carriage for cleaning and painting.   Everything works on the Vehicle except the odometer is stuck on 40. 00 miles. but the speed odometer does work.   The radio has been replaced with a used one and is not hooked up.   Some of the things I did not get done:  The bumpers shows some wear/age but no dents or dings. The rubber trim over the windows to the top should be replaced. all other rubber is in great shape.   The seat belts shows some wear/age and could be replaced.   The interior is in great shape with no tears or rips.   The reason I'm selling the vehicle is that I am restoring another Vehicle that I can use the money to put into that car.   If you have any questions or concerns. please contact me.

Also. I do have a lien on the car from my local bank which takes only 2 days to remove and the title within a few days.
