THE BUILD

This is an extremely well thought-out. well constructed build.

The crate ZZ 4 Chevy V-8 (355 HP) with unique Sanderson Headers sends the power to the Ford 8" Currie rear via a 700-R 4 automatic overdrive transmission.

The 4 bar polished stainless front suspension is by Pete & Jake.

The brakes are disc at all four corners. Wildwood front. Ford rear.

Radial tires are mounted on 15" front and 16" rear polished E. T. rims.

The steering is Vega type.

Sitting on a 1932 Ford reproduction boxed chassis by Total Performance is a Rod Bod ALL STEEL 1932 Ford Roadster body. finished in multiple coats of sticky smooth deep Maroon basecoat/clearcoat paint.

The fit and finish exceed the most exacting standards.

The fabric covered fiberglass hardtop is easily removed with 4 bolts.

Adding to the uniqueness of the build are Licoln Zephyr taillights and those striking Ford commercial headlights.

THE INTERIOR

Luxurious soft cocoa leather begs you to get in and enjoy this world class interior leather. Mercedes carpet. 6 Auto Meter gauges all add to the overall ambiance.

The trunk opens up to reveal a fully finished look that compliments the interior.

The optima battery is hidden behind a rear access panel.

DRIVING IMPRESSIONS

Simply put. this roadster drives as good as it looks - not a small accomplishment in a Hot Rod.

It is smooth. not choppy.

It travels straight down the road. the transmission shifts perfectly.

It has a very solid feel. no doubt a result of a first class build and an all steel body.

The Mercedes carpet is installed over layers of heat and sound deadening material so that there is no excess heat in the cockpit and no excess sound.

The only sounds you hear are the throatiness of the polished stainless steel exhaust system and the growl of those monster rear tires.

There are no drivability issues.

THE LOOK

It's not easy for a Hot Rod builder to attain "the look" but this Roadster has it in spades.

Bigs and Littles on polished E. T. rims with a polished stainless dropped tube axle achieve the correct rake.

The killer Ford commercial headlights have a huge wow! Factor.

But the icing on the cake is that spectacular multi-stage Maroon paint accented with tons of chrome and polished stainless.

You gotta love this Hot Rod. it looks and sounds fast and mean standing still!

And. oh yeah. everyone loves this car - lots of thumbs up and waves - smiles all around.

But this car is not for the bashful type. not for someone who wants to fly under the radar.

The Principal. Peter Watson. is a retired car dealer who can't seem to stay away from interesting cars.

Peter is a retired Lincoln Mercury Dealer (Old Forge Lincoln Mercury - Lansdale Pa - 26 years) and retired Ford Dealer (Old Forge Springhouse Ford - Springhouse Pa - 16 years). Peter has transformed his love of cars into a business helping to bring together collector car sellers and buyers.

Old Forge Motorcars operates out of the former Lincoln Mercury Dealership building.

A building interestingly was originally built to become a Tucker Dealership - that. of course. didn't work out well.
