1995 Rover Mini Cooper S Si John Cooper Garages

Opportunity to buy this extremely rare John Cooper Garages Works Mini Cooper Si. Only 100 of these cars where produced over an 18 month period by John Cooper with the full backing of Rover. This was the first full S model produced by John Cooper Garages since 1971.

This Mini Cooper S was not an off the shelf conversion sports kit model added by a dealer but a full blown out of the factory John Cooper Garages 80 bhp works car. (sold by John Cooper Garages from new) As mentioned there were only 100 produced and this car comes with numbered chassis plate “S 27” mounted on the driver's side cross member and a John Cooper signed “S 27” certificate.

This car is totally original. As well as the Single point injection tuned 80 bhp 1275 cc engine with tuned head. high lift rockers etc. it comes with walnut dash. an extra 3 centred magnolia clocks all signed by John Cooper and the mota-lita steering wheel with again a John Cooper signature etched into the left hand arm. The car comes with a full history of MOT and maintenance literature. The car is located in in York YO 19 area but has been in Northern Ireland for the last 7 years passing the very strict government MOT each year without fail or issues.

As you can see from the images this mini is in great condition with the usual areas of rust starting to come through at both rear panels. lower passenger door and around the headlight area. Both A panels and rear valence have been recently replaced with genuine parts. Paintwork is in excellent condition and original. wheels and tyres are in fantastic shape. the Chrome work and interior are in great condition. Car comes with 2 sets of keys and immobiliser.

The sills have been replaced and are all solid. the boot floor is solid as are all the floors. the mini drives superb without fault. the tyres are good (Falkens all round) and the brakes work even as they should. The mini sits very level on the suspension and stands well.

All the correct badging and John Cooper bits are correct and present along with the original hand signed John Cooper Garages certificate.
