One owner from new with incredible detailed history from day one!
This is an immaculate un-restored example and is absolutely un-repeatable in such time warp original condition.
The remarkable VW Beetle is famous for many reasons. its roots in Nazi Germany. the duration of its production. the vast numbers of cars produced and even its ability to climb up the outside of sky-scrapers as “Herbie”. Everyone has its own story which is no doubt one of the appeals of this enchanting machine.
This extraordinary one owner example has a history like no other. To call its owner fastidious would be a gross understatement. four books accompanying the car detailing everything that has happened to it during the 46 years since its birth. including its Valentine's Day treat. 40 th Birthday party even the temperature of the water used to wash it!
Its owner didn't like to going over 50 mph. so it has led a cosseted life. no doubt the reason why its 165. 00 miles have worn so well. The records show that a new engine was installed in 1989 and that it was repainted in 2004 to improve its rather faded beige colour scheme.
Due to illness. the vendor has covered just 300 miles since 2009. hence it was very. very reluctantly sold. There is no rust on the car and that whatever has needed replacement during its lifetime has been done with German supplied parts and fitted by a local VW trained engineer .
The car is accompanied by a number of service books and hand books.
