SELLER REMARKS

Talk about a lot of truck for not a lot of money! Someone clearly spent a great deal of effort making this 1978 GMC Sierra short bed look this good. from the blazing red paint to the highly detailed engine bay. There's absolutely no way you could duplicate this truck for the asking price. and good luck finding a rare regular cab. short bed in such great condition.

Most of these trucks ended up working for a living. but judging from the looks of this one. it was never a tradesman's work vehicle or someone's beater. Instead. it's a very clean. solid truck with a lot of nice upgrades that make it ideal for local shows and cruise nights. If the scoop sticking out of the hood isn't enough for you. that red paint is most definitely attention-grabbing. It has been well-applied over some very straight bodywork-just one glance down the sides of the bed and you will see that there are no ripples or signs of repairs. It has been subtly de-badged. but most of the original stainless trim is in place and looks great. as do the shiny chrome bumpers and custom billet grille. The bed is protected by a heavy-duty liner and a vinyl tonneau cover. so it's practical as well as sporty.

Inside. a custom gray fabric interior has been stitched to cover up the truck's working class bones. The original bench seat remains in place. but the truck's real aspirations become immediately apparent when you climb inside: a big tach. shift light. auxiliary gauges. and a B&M shifter all suggest that. like the hood scoop. there is much more than meets the eye to this truck. The dash has been covered in color-matched vinyl with bright red below the beltline. and there are stock-style door panels right above a pair of oversized speakers. Factory gauges look crisp and bright. and you'll note that this truck also carries factory A/C. a tilt wheel. and an AM/FM/CD stereo.

Under the hood. you'll find a 350 cubic inch Chevy crate motor that has been dressed up in a ton of chrome and polished aluminum. There's an Edelbrock Air-Gap intake and a Holley 4-barrel carburetor up top. GM performance heads. a Lunati cam. and a set of tubular headers handling the exhaust. so this isn't a stock. wheezing 1978 engine. but one that moves the relatively lightweight truck with some real authority. Behind the engine is a stout TH350 3-speed automatic with a 3200 RPM stall converter and a mild shift kit that is part of an exceptionally clean undercarriage. Dual exhaust features trick electronic cut-outs and Flowmaster mufflers for that distinctive performance sound. The suspension has been lowered just enough to give the truck the right stance. and it rides on 15-inch aluminum wheels with 255/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials.

Look at the details throughout this truck. and then take another look at the price tag. As we said. this is a lot of truck for the money. and you would be hard-pressed to find another one this clean. Complete with receipts and a spare set of slick. this is a truck that's equal parts fun and practical. Call today!
