1966 GMC 1000 Pick-up "Custom"

This is a very cool and very rare '66 GMC pick-up.

It comes with a rare factory 351 CID V 6 engine that runs good !! (If you're not familiar with the engine Google it and see for yourself. ) This would make a very cool rat rod or shop truck . or. drive it and enjoy it just as it is.

The bed is in amazing shape for the age.

The wood bed floor is the original wood and the bed walls. quarter panels and inner tailgate are rust free.

The lower outter tailgate area has some rust as seen in the photos.

There is your typical rust in the outside edges of the floor pans.

They have been temporarily repaired with license plates that have been screwed into place (true rat rod repair job.

Haha).

I also puchased a new custom cut-to-fit carpet kit for the cab that is included with the sale.

The quick floor repair was good enough for what I wanted but I didn't install and glue the carpet in simply so that the new owner could decide if they wanted to replace the outter floor pan areas correctly and then install the carpet.

Within the last week I had a new windshield and new rubber gasket installed.

All other glass is in perfect condition with no cracks.

I also put in a new battery about two weeks ago. new spark plugs. and newly reupholstered sun visors.

The truck gets lots of looks and thumbs up anywhere I go.

I'm a hobbyist at heart and enjoy finding these relics. making them a little better. and sending them down the road for someone else to enjoy.
