Cortina MK 5 2 ltr Ghia automatic in crystal green.
This stunning car has only covered 29. 89 miles from new and only had 3 owners. I'm told that the first owner was an employee of Ford and it was presented to him as a retirement gift. He kept the car for 30 years in a heated garage only averaging less than 1000 miles a year in dry sunny weather. a tradition continued by the next two owners.
Recently it's had the following new parts - Exhaust. timing belt (in the last 600 miles). front tyres. hoses. points and plugs
It has a nice registration number. which is etched on all the windows for security
The alloy wheels have been professionally refurbished and look amazing
The matching green check interior trim is as new
The factory fitted sunroof is a great feature and works perfectly. nice and smooth and is absolutely water tight. unfortunately there are a few small areas on the sun roof where the paint has rusted
Mechanically she is perfect and drives like a brand new car. quiet. smooth and very comfortable. the engine pulls well. starts first time and there is no smoke. rattles. nasty noises or oil leaks at all
There is a long MOT. until August 2014. which it passed with no advisories. and a month's tax
There are a few very minor marks on the body if you look very closely. The inner wing lips near the bulk head appear to have had some remedial work at some time to a good standard
Everything works except the clock. the heater only blows warm not hot air.
If you like MK 5 Cortinas or appreciate very original and unmolested cars then come and see for yourself
There are two sets of keys. one set unused. the original as new owners handbook and operating guide. Mo Ts going back to 1993 and a copy of the first Mo T inspection report in October 84
