This car is perfect for the person looking to restore a RX 2 or make the car there way with out looking for hard to find parts. Because this car has it all badges and one of the cleanest interiors I've seen. When I purchased the car in 2000 the interior was still wrapped in plastic. they only thing that wasn't wrapped was the drivers seat with 9. 00 miles . The previous owner only drove it to the liquor store and pass out in the drivers seat. it was a retirement gift from the bus company in 1971. This car is only for the real die hard rotary head and enthusiast. All other RX 2's that you will see out there for sale is someone else's interpretation of a clean RX 2. I drove the car for two years from Lancaster to Los Angeles with no problems. After I bought a new car I decided to do a full restoration with all the original parts until I became a single father of two small kids. There is no engine or transmission and the gentlemen that was rebuilding the engine and transmission passed on and the family sold everything that he had. So I was SOL. You won't have a problem finding an original 12 A or a beast of a motor. This car has brought me and my kids so much joy and a great conversation piece when I would pull up to a street light.
