1958 Buick Super, Beautiful Original Car, Continental Kit, 364, Black and Chrome

1958 Buick Super 2 Door Sport Coupe. The King of Bling. More chrome than any other car of the 1950's. Beautiful looking original car. very solid. I would call this a surivor car. it is not perfect. but has so much eye appeal that it would draw people away from the nicest cars at a car show or cruise night.

 Please look at the pictures. this car is very impressive with all its chrome. black paint. continental kit. fender skirts. spotlight etc. The car is also equipped with power steering. power brakes. 364 nailhead motor and dynaflow automatic transmission.

I know buying any big ticket item sight unseen is difficult so I will try to describe this car as honestly as I can.

This '58 Buick Super 2 door Hardtop apprears to have one very old repaint. the paint is smooth and shines nicely. there are some weak sports that appear to be rubbed through from buffing or polishing. nbsp;the body is straight down the sides. there are a couple very minor dings and scratches that can be seen only upon a close inspection.

The inner trunk wheel wells had some repair work a long time ago. this would normally be covered by the carboard lining. that is missing. The floors. rockers. and outer body are very solid and original.

The interior is original and in very good condition with the exception of some minor stress tears in a couple spots on the front seat that can be seen in the pictures.

The engine compartment is original and lacks detail. The trunk is the same with the original floor mat.

The chrome and stainless are in very good to excellent condition and appear to be original to the car. The chrome on the Continental kit is weak. has some pitting and should be rechromed.

The car runs excellent. motor is quiet. does not smoke. drives nice but has old bias ply tires.  The floor (gas pedal) starter does not work. I use an aftermarket starter button to start the car. The car should have an oil change and service from sitting for the past 3-4 years. I have a receipt for 4 new wheel cylinders and brake work done in 2008 but I would inspect the brakes as they make noise when pedal is applied. There is a slight rear end whine that should also be investigated. the heater hoses are disconnected from the core and the speedometer is disconnected because it was making noise. I have a new speedo cable that goes with the car.

Over all I think the pictures tell the story. this is a 56 year old car with wear and tear but appears to have been well cared for. not perfect but very nice with some patina.  I have perfect feedback and want to keep it that way. I welcome and encourage a personal inpection of this car if possible.  These are the only pictures I have but will try to post more asap. Also. Please note. this car is sold with a transferable Vt. registration. There is No Title.
