Vehicle Details
Low mileage 1987 Lincoln Town Car, Sail American Commemorative edition (Stars and Stripes). Arctic White with Blue carriage top. White leather seats with blue piping. As per Marti report, only 2,014 of this special edition were made.I'm the third owner (since 2017), purchased from my ex-father in law (who bought it in 2013).Everything works, including A/C, cruise, keyless entry, trunk release, and all power options.Major servicing at 53 k miles (Coolant flush, trans filter, fuel filter, Air filter, thermostat, temp sensor, new alternator).New belts at 54.5 k miles. New battery this year. Car was built with self-leveling rear suspension but I converted to standard (regular shocks, stiffer springs).Drives as it should, smooth and quiet.Center console not original but a nice aftermarket item.Tires are slightly larger (225/70/15) than standard, have about 4 k miles on them.The only functional issue is that the PRNDL indicator does not move with shifter.Small crack in rear tail lamp lens (see pic).Typical glovebox panel swelling and driver seat leather wear.Surface corrosion on alloy wheels.Door cap covering driver door armrest (see pic).Comes with period advert, Marti report, window sticker, and fold-out brochure explaining the Sail America edition.
