1965 Volvo P 1800. Found in a garage in Maine from a deceased enthusiast who had removed the spark plugs before he passed. Widow sold it to a flipper whom I purchased it from in 2013. Has sat for a total 32 years in a garage. Engine was minor stuck but removed and taken apart for damage assessment. Seems to be no damage, still apart. Mechanical spark advance distributor as 65's had. A later used vacuum advance P 1800 engine included that was sold to me as a good running engine.The faded red paint was buffed and showed cracks so was disassembled and taken to bare metal for a proper refurbishment. Minor bodywork and primer accomplished and became a stalled project. Such a beautiful car with incredible potential. Red Volvo picture is actual car before disassembly. Very minor bodywork was administered. Battery box bottom was rusty and repaired and a passenger side floor brace replaced where dirt had accumulated. Still in primer and needs major assembly. Underside has a thick undercoat. Needs a lot of work still. Will be sold as a rolling project.Offered as I am retiring and moving.This is a rare and milestone car and not cheap.No documented mileage availability, just word of mouth. True mileage unknown.Again, red car picture is before it was taken apart, but actual car. Good grille and hubcaps included. Windshield fell off shelf and cracked.Anyone should probably should look at it before bidding. I don't think any parts are missing.The car is inside in Limerick Maine.I have much more than my reserve in it. Sold as is.
