1980 IH Scout ii on Monte Carlo Frame. This was someone's baby and ALOT of work went into it. Based on the condition and welds I'm guessing the frame change was done by a professional outfit. It was definitely someone's pride and joy. I bought this car while deployed in the middle east from a guy in Oklahoma. Plan was to restore it into "The Purple Monster" and make it my daily driver. Unfortunately I was injured shortly after buying it and have been unable to restore it. -Frame and body are cancer free and rust is surface rust.-Floors are Rhino-Lined no carpet-Removable top is Rhino-Lined -Removable top has a few rust holes in the back above the tailgate, from before it was Rhino-Lined-Roll bar is Rhino-Lined and an actual roll-bar, not just for looks-Engine is a Chevy 350 cubic inch V 8 -Transmission: Turbo-400 (4 speed automatic on the floor)-Heads are cast iron-Intake manifold is aluminum, however I will need to verify this with a magnet as its painted purple to match the body. -Power Brake Booster is also painted purple to match the body.-2 Bucket seats in the front, and a 3 person bench in the back-You will want to replace the seat covers eventually but the tears are on the side and can be concealed with the covers I'm including.-Metal bumpers front and back, no winch This Scout ii can be turned into a daily driver fairly easily or form the foundation of a solid restoration. If you're a parent looking for a first car or simply want your kid in a large car made out something not made of plastic, the Scout ii is a great choice.Feel free to ask any questions you can think of or for specific photos.
