The car pictured here is a 1984 Mercedes 380 SL with a fiberglass outer skin to pay tribute to the venerable 300 SL from the 50 s. The car runs and drives but is still not fully completed, the body is in the first stage of primer. The car has taken 5000 hours of documented labor. The car is driven around the neighborhood regularly, nevertheless the motor has developed a ticking noise around the valve train presumably from a hydraulic lifter.The noise diminishes once the engine warms up. This Mercedes needs interior work, some bodywork, and trim. It comes with new seat covers, carpets, all new rubber seals around the windows, all the chrome trim needs to be installed. It needs a new headliner. This is not a tube frame with a big V-8 engine kit car, this is a true Mercedes-Benz that has a retro look.

Unfortunately I have become disabled and I am unable to complete the work. This vehicle is for sale as is, with the acknowledgment that it is not finished and he's going to require further time and labor.
