1971 Chrysler New Yorker Two Door Pillarless Hardtop
440 cubic inch V 8 727 Torqueflite auto 8 3/4" differential Power steering Power disc brake front end Air conditioning Electric windows 6 way power seats 15 inch wheels with full hubcaps and good tyres
Very original except for two repaints during it's 50 year lifetime. Current paint ok for driving but certainly no good for shows.
Minimal rust (can only find tiny amount of paint bubbling in sills which may just be paint imperfections but lets call it rust just to be safe).
Runs, drives and brakes just fine but engine needs tuning and possibly valve stem seals (some smoke on start-up). Transmission shifts well.
No roof lining but bows and trim all there.
Front seat could do with reupholstering. Power seat mechanisms seems to work ok.
Some dash gauges work, some don't. Same with electric windows.
All exterior lights work as per factory original.
As this is a recent import, there is no gas in the air conditioning system but has everything there ready for a regas to bring it back to life.
Overall, a very solid car that is only an LO 1 plate and RWC away from being registerable and on the road if you just want to cruise (in QLD).
Alternatively, it you're looking for the basis for an awesome resto-ride this is your car. Totally unique in Australia and has the size and styling few other cars can match (it's actually half an inch longer than a Cadillac Eldorado).
Can help with transport for winning bidder if required.
