1954 Packard Pacific

I will be listing a few cars here in the next week or two for my family.  We are reducing are number of cars, so please see my other listings as well.  I am not a dealer.

"Packard Beauty is Quality Deep"

The 1954 Packard Pacific is one of the most beautiful and elegant cars of the early 1950s.  It is also the last (and most powerful) of the legendary Packard straight eight engines.  This model ONLY came as a 2 door hardtop and is quite rare.  This car is beautifully styled and very well engineered for its time.  Everywhere you look there is something nice to look at...Beautiful colors, trim, lines, hood ornament - it's quite a work a art!  Perhaps the best styled car of that era.  It can also handle today's modern roads and speeds, thanks to the power of the 359ci engine and the Ultra-Matic Transmission, which was the most modern automatic transmission of its day.

This particular car was a very nice, rust free, low mileage original that was restored in 2012.  More than $60,000 spent on restoration alone.  The car is not "concourse" as it was restored to be a car to DRIVE to car shows.  It comes with a large box of documentation with includes many receipts, photos, literature, a shop manual, the original owner's manual, and some past registrations from the car's early days.  This would be a very nice car for all your cruise night events, car shows, or just own/drive for fun!  This car will be a treasure for your family to own for years to come and a great investment too.

This Packard was owned by a collector for many years before my parents acquired it.  The original engine runs great and has very good power for a car this year.  The transmission shifts and operates well.  It has working gauges, lights, directional signals, and windows.  The car runs and starts exceptionally well, and with the PS and PB, it is very easy for anyone to drive.  The car only has 35,504 actual miles, but was totally restored in 2012 and the engine fully rebuilt at that time.  The 359 engine came from the factory with a 4 barrel carburetor and an aluminum head to create the 212 horsepower.  The Ultra-Matic Transmission has an early type of overdrive in the form of a lock up converter.  This helps the car cruise at higher speeds, yet still has a passing gear when you need it.  The car is still a 6 volt system that works great and has a newer battery.  The power windows operate on electric going down and hydraulic power to help them up in the form of a hydraulic pump you can see on the firewall.  This is a factory original system that still works.  The windows go down very easy, however, you do need to have some patience at times when putting them back up (very common).  The power brake system in this car works so well you'll forget your driving an antique car!  When driving, the car doesn't have any pulling, vibrations, noises, clunks, or rattles.  When you drive this car, you'll really be impressed with it.  It truly drives as well as it looks and as you'd expect from a low mileage type car.

The car looks beautiful inside and out - almost like a brand new one, really.  The exterior paint is shiny and beautiful with no major flaws (there is a small ding on the roof, but not very noticeable).  Just about all of the chrome and stainless was restored, the rest is excellent original for its age.  The interior is very nice and was restored with correct type upholstery.  The car has a beautiful original steering wheel and dash.  Engine bay and trunk are both fully detailed.  The doors, hood, trunk all open and close nicely and all of the body panels line up very well.  Underneath the car looks good and solid as you would expect.  Overall, the car presents itself well and is nice enough to win a trophy at most of the car shows you attend.

Please see the photos and ask whatever questions you might have.  I do have a video of the car running that I can send by request.

I reserve the right to end the listing early at any time for the right offer.  The car could be for sale locally as well.
