Take a trip back to the 80's in this time capsule - an 1981 Honda Accord LX 5 speed that's in great shape and super fun to drive! This now-in-Arizona Honda has a cool history as it was actually bought new in 1981 by someone who lived 4 blocks away from where I grew up in my hometown of Millville, NJ and then was restored by a Master Honda Mechanic who worked at Grand Honda in Millville in the 1990s. This Master Honda Mechanic rescued this car from someone's driveway in 1997 with 85,000 miles and spent a year restoring it including rebuilding the engine and transmission, repainting it in Sea Sprite Green Metallic, and redoing the interior in the exact style as original but with a more durable beige corduroy fabric. Under my two years of ownership, I had the car completely gone over by a local Honda mechanic who serviced it and refreshed the cooling system including replacing the radiator. The car now has low miles of 135K.The car drives great, just like my 81 Accord I owned in the 80's did. Starts right up, with no smoke or drivability issues. Not a drip of any fluids under the car either! It accelerates and shifts smoothly and cruises at 65-75 with ease. Michelin tires have good tread and the spare, jack and lug wrench are intact. Seats are in perfect shape as are the door panels and carpets. Repaint is 23 years old and looks great and shines nicely and there are absolutely NO door dings on either side of the car. It has been garage kept up until two months ago. Minor fade on the roof. Car has NO rust (still has the original Rusty Jones stickers on the doorjamb), no accidents, or dents, and the car is 100% complete. The LX model has power steering and brakes, an original Honda AM/FM radio with cassette, and air conditioning. The AC is compete and functional according to my mechanic, has been updated and just needs a recharge. Original owners manual, shop manual and car cover are included.Only selling because I have four cars and not enough room at my townhouse. Car needs nothing to be driven regularly! Here are links to two videos taken by the last owner in NJ who did the refurbishing:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xqSqy-ZSac&t=183shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmqtA6KjCa8&t=26sHappy to help with any shipping. These 80's Japanese cars are skyrocketing in value and this one is priced very reasonably for an immediately drivable Honda!Relisted due to non-payment by the winning bidder. Don't bid if you aren't going to buy!
