(U.S. model) It has an 804 Gordini engine that was rebuilt about 35,000 miles ago and it still runs well, but may need freshening up in the future. (This engine is not the original.)It has a 5-speed transmission from an R-17 Gordini. It shifts well.(No cutting was done on the frame for this conversion.)Car was repainted about 12 years ago. Suspension is worn, but new A-arm bushings and ball joints come with car, not installed. Body work has minor scratches and wear and the hood is slightly damaged."

I have owned this car for 20 years. The Matra Djet was the first mid-engine production car built primarily for the 1. 00 class at Le Mans where it raced from 1962-1964. and won its class in 1963. . (This car has never been raced) This car was sold new in the U. S. A. (U. S. model) It is very rare and very reasonably priced compared to its rivals. It has been driven to many shows and car events in the U. S. A. and is a very enjoyable car to drive.
