About this vehicle This 1953 De Soto Firedome is an original with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle needs work and is not regularly driven. Seller's Notes Will add Vehicle Details
This is a 1953 Chrysler Desoto Firedome V 8 276, coupe 2 door . The auto was a project that went wrong (mechanic left me hanging) the original plan was to remove old engine (baby hemi V 8) and transmission and replace with a 327 Chevy and tranny. The original electrical system was removed he was going to upgrade from 6 to 12 volt. The original engine and transmission are out of the car. I will take more pictures of the engine compartment, inside and the trunk. Does not have any seats. All original parts are on the side e.g engine, transmission, power steering, starter, back axle and others. Again, all the major components are off the care. The back wheels axle was also removed due to some kind of failure (is in the the trunk) in place there is one placed temporary just to move the car. t's a project car for someone with the cash and time.
