Austin Healey Sprite mk1 has a 4 speed, gas engine with 1275 cc 70PS (51kw:69 hp) coil spring suspension, 1464 lbs. drum brakes, rear wheel drive, fuel tank 7.1 US gallons. The Sprite mk1 model is a Cabrio car manufactured by Austin Healey, sold new from year 1958. I have all service records since I bought it in 2016, the previous owner also had it garage kept but changed out the engine to the 1275. The following parts have been replaced; brakes, master cylinder, clutch, clutch slave cylinder, all wheel cylinders, boot and cups, thermostat, generator, regulator, water pump, carb piston return spring, bridge line, float chamber gaskets, fuel sending unit, Header, Heater valve kit, Seals for fuel tank, speedometer cable, starter solenoid, rear tail light (shows a broken one in the pictures). Tires and rims, battery. I have old parts including some new parts. One of the lugs is missing in the wheel - picture shown. Original Workshop Manual and several other books and manuals including the original owner's manual. Comes with new soft top and tonneau cover, has the side windows and original bag for them. The odometer shows less than 17000 miles. The title from 2018 says "16192 MIles 02/28/2018 Actual." It looks like the original odometer but I don't know that for a fact nor do I know if that is for total miles or when the engine was swapped out. I do know we've only driven the car less than 500 miles for the five years we've had it. The car still has some work that can be done to it, but nothing is "needed" other than the occasional maintenance. Background story: In 2016, I bought this for my wife from a longtime customer who had terminal cancer. We went to his home and the car was in his garage with the hood up as he had been tinkering with it. My wife liked it, but didn't want to ask about the car. So I did. He said he wanted $15K for it. I told him I never pay retail for anything and offered $14999. We both smiled and made the deal. That Christmas I surprised her with the car in our driveway with a big red bow on it. Unfortunately, it needed a LOT of work. Brakes, paint job, seats were in bad shape, etc. A year later we had another $15K in it. I know, I know....we'll never get $30K out of the car. It was never done as an investment, but rather something my wife would enjoy. And she did for several years but lately, she's not driving like she used to, and it's time to pass along to someone who will enjoy the vehicle. She normally drives it at least once a month unless it's raining. Its garage kept at all times. Most times it cranks up, sometimes it doesn't. It's old and finicky at times - like me I guess. It's a hoot to drive and turns heads. You're welcome to come pick it up in person or get it delivered.
