1967 Pontiac GTO For Bid by the ORIGINAL OWNER: I ordered this beautiful Tyrol blue 1967 GTO on April 29, 1967 and took delivery on May 16, 1967 from Terry Martin Pontiac in Waynesboro, Virginia.This car was ordered with the following options:Paint-two tone standard-----------------RTT ( Tyrol blue with gloss black top, (The only 1967 GTO I have ever seen with this color combination) The car was repainted Tyrol blue all over.Radio push-button-----------------------342Guards-door edge------------------------382Lamp-luggage----------------------------401Lamp-underhood-------------------------421Cluster & tachometer-rally gauge-----444Console------------------------------------472Power steering-wonder touch----------501Glass-soft ray-all windows-------------531Springs & shocks-ride & handling----621Mats-front floor throw------------------631Differential-saf-t-track 3.55:1----------7314 BBL 400 HO Engine 360 hp-------WS4 Speed Manual Tran.-------------------77wThis completely documented car has been off-frame restored in 1990 by the owner. The car was repainted Tyrol blue all over with PPG base coat clear coat by Ken West Body Shop. This car was restored to keep it's originality down to the original gold and cadmium-plated hardware. (no silver or gold paint was used) . No rust repair was required except for replacing the rear tail light panel. As of 3/30/ 2009 with 148, 550 miles - The original 400 cubic engine short block was rebuilt by Kauffman Racing Equipment (www.krepower.com) Invoice # 09101SFI. The short block was stroked and bored using a Scat Rotating Assembly Kit. It's now 461 cubic inches. The assembly consist of a Scat forged crank, 4.250 inch stroke, Eagle forged rods, 6.800 long, Ross forged Pistons, 4.155 dia, Power Seal piston rings, BOP Viton rear main oil seal. [ I CAN E-MAIL INTERNAL ENGINE PICTURES ].Kauffman Racing also rebuilt and lightly ported the original 670 heads, with a three angle valve job using Ferrea valves, Crower #68404 springs and Manley Viton valve stem seals. I CAN E-MAIL PICTURES OF THE HEAD ASSEMBLY.The new engine was painted and installed in the car by owner. See pictures. The engine is set up to run on the street using 93 octane gas. The compression ratio is 9.4:1. A Crower # 60916 cam was installed with a duration of 221 degrees intake, 229 degrees exhaust @ .050 lift. This cam is equivalent to the Pontiac 744 SD. This cam was recommended by Kauffman Racing to help this big engine breath. The engine is still very street drivable with tons of torque. This car is set up for long-life durability. As of 3/30/2009 - the following new parts were also installed: stock GM clutch, Flow Cooler water pump, new plugs, plug wires, hoses, points, rotor, condenser, cap, wiring harness, power brake booster, SS brake lines, hood insulation. The fly wheel was reground.As of 10/4/2013 - new Delco battery and Harrison radiator.As of 11/11/2021- only 4,427 miles has been put on the new engine. (The car is only driven to locally to Cruise-Ins and Car Shows). This car has never been raced at a drag strip. This car has always been kept in a garage. All major component numbers match with complete documentation. The alternator, starter and carburetor have been replaced with the correct GM parts. All receipts available. Old parts are included. The 4 speed Muncie Transmission and Hurst shifter are original. The Transmission has never been opened and has only needed a new rear seal. The GM 10 bolt diff. is original has never needed attention. New axle bearings and seals have been installed. The running gear operates as quite, smooth and noise free as when it was new.The wide oval spare tire, window sticker, car order & invoice, car dealer copy shipping record, protect-O-plate books, and the T-3 headlights are all original. The car interior is all original except for new carpet, carpet moldings, mirror, arm rest, package tray and knobs.Two sets of wheels are included. The Original Pontiac Rally II wheels with Firestone red line F 70-14 wide ovals shown in the pictures. The Cragar 15” steel wheels with P235/60R15 radial tires shown in the pictures. Also included are two axle support stands used for special car shows shown in the pictures. All of the old original engine parts are included., Crank, rods, pistons, rocker arms, and starter etc.This car has won 34 first place trophies including five Judges “Best Of Show” awards. This car is AACA registered with a First Junior, First Senior, and four Preservation awards.All original documentation, Invoice, window sticker, etc, log maintenance book and sales receipts are included.Needs attention: [The cars radio and new heater core needs repaired. The new heater core was damaged during engine installation. The heater hose has been plugged since 2009.}
