1930 - L 29 CORD - NO RESERVE - ESTATE
This is a 1930 L 29 Cord Sedan that we are offering for sale with No Reserve to settle an estate. I have known this L 29 and its Owners for over Forty years. The previous owner (caretaker) passed away and I will from heron refer to him as "Dave". Dave's parents purchased this Cord in 1963. It was always a Good car that showed wear and tear. Dave's Mother put fitted burgundy seat covers on it to cover the worn interior. They drove it that way until 1980 and then decided to have it painted. That paint is on it today! Dave always referred to the Cord as "Dad's Cord."
In the 1990's both of his parents passed away. At that point Dave became permanent custodian of the Cord. In the early 2000's Dave installed new whitewall tires. He drove the car every chance he got. After a little while he thought the top and interior should be improved on.Dave had them redone as close to
original
as possible. The
original
interior provided an excellent pattern for the project.
Today the Cord runs and drives the way it should! Visually, the Cord presents itself very well but, was never meant to be a 'show car', just a good reliable driver!
Just a few things have been changed from
original
. An electric fuel pump was added, as well as a hang down gauge cluster and Trico defroster fan. The inside door handles have been replaced with modern units. The chrome parts on the vehicle have been replated however, not to 'show quality.'
Please make no mistake, this Cord is not a 'show car'. It is a good, reliable, respectable, honest old car. This car should be driven and enjoyed as it was intended. Please look at the photos included should you have questions or need more information don't hesitate to contact me.
I have sold a lot of vehicles over the years and we have over 3000 positive feedbacks on ebay. I would highly recommend any potential buyer to come and inspect the Cord. Call Rich at
for any additional information or to make arrangements to view this Cord.
Ebay requires a $500 deposit to the at the end of the auction. I would then make arrangements for payment and pickup with the Buyer. The Cord has a Clear title.
