I am listing this for a friend of mine who does not have an ebay account.   If you want to discuss purchasing this Jaguar,  or have any questions,   send your phone number or call the number in the ad headline, ebay messages will likely not be returned.      This car is for sale locally, and we reserve the right to end this auction, at any time, even if there are bids, even if the reserve is met,  in short ;  money talks, and auction watchers/ bidders walks.    We are accepting reasonable offers on the car,  give a shout.  912.4148993   This car was owned by one owner from 1978 until earlier this year.   The one owner had spent close to $40,000 upgrading and restoring the car up to 2015.    Previous owner passed away and left car to his son,   who sold the car to my friend who is a Jaguar lover, this year.     A new house purchase requires he now sell this car, after spending $3000 having new black leather seats made for the car as well as installing a new headliner.     This Jaguar coupe was fitted to a brand-new Goodrich Chevrolet 350 engine & automatic transmission in the very recent past.     A thick file of receipts covering the car since 1978 is included with the sale.      Majority of the money was spent having car painted and bare-metal prepared for top-notch paint job.    Paint looks great.  There are some small issues that may bother the purist , however :    front hood (bonnet)  now has quick-release latches installed on the exterior of hood,  no hood pull cable any longer inside the vehicle interior.    Passenger side door fit is not perfect (see photos) ,   and we are not sure why.          While car looks extremely nice,   after a thorough examination of the car,  we did find there is some small patches of rust on the passenger side floorboards ,  please see photos.   Floors are original ,  and there is some surface rust with one small spot of perforation.     Trunk is still original and rust free.       Car is original other than the Chevrolet V8 engine conversion...  Engine starts easily,   has a lot of power,   and runs/ drives nice without any overheating or other issues.      Can can be used right now as a daily driver, if you like.       Cubby / glove box is missing behind glove box door.     Some wood on dash shows signs of deterioration and would have to be refinished in order to be perfect.      Brakes feel perfect and have no issues.       Odometer shows 93,4XX miles and appears to be original and matches chain of receipts dating back to 1978.      Jaguar coupes are quite rare with less than 1500 built.    This is a great opportunity to buy one with an easy to maintain and powerful powertrain.      No clunks, squeaks, leaks, or other mechanical problems with the car.      As I am not very familiar with the car , as it belongs to my friend,  please ask any questions you may have so I can get the answer for you ,  and I can put you in touch with the owner.    He hold current Oregon title,  clear and free,  in his name.       We can ship the car anywhere in the USA at buyers expense,  no problem.     Meeting you at the airport / train station will not be a problem either, if you want to fly in and drive car home.      Let me know what else we can tell you .. thank you for reading all of this.
